Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomExcellent restaurant. Air con in bedroom which we were not expecting, but was great. The town is superb and really worth visiting, and the hotel location is very central and a very short walk from the middle. Parking was immediately outside. Convenient for airport.

BelgiumWalls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbours clearly, so your level of comfort depends directly on how noisy they are. Shower with little pressure and leaking, stagnant sink... the whole thing a little run down, but we loved it.
Great location in the center of lovely medieval Mirepoix, good, charming restaurant under the trees (the duck was delicious), very good wifi, easy to park in the street outside. Hairdryer in the bathroom. Breakfast typically French (coffee, croissant, baguette plus a few extras) and good unless you are expecting a full buffet with a million options. Our room had a window over the roof and restaurant, which was nice but a little noisy until the last diners left.

United States of AmericaThe bedroom and en suite bathroom is a tight squeeze, but it’s good for the money.
The location was outstanding and the breakfast was one of the best we’ve had! You can boil your own eggs and also there’s good coffee. There’s a massage chair in the upstairs hallway that you can use for free. Also, the café area is attractive and has a good atmosphere.

United KingdomThe mattress was too soft for me, but the bedlinen and pillows were good quality.
This is a really traditional hotel in a great location, just off Mirepoix's amazing medieval square. My double room was small, as is typical in France, but had a good sized en-suite bathroom, a tv with a range of French channels and decent wifi. It also had air conditioning which was a blessing in the current heatwave. The hotel's restaurant seems very popular and they offer a large courtyard dining area as well as indoor space. Hotel le Commerce is family-run, and the doors are locked at 11pm.

My fourth stay here. It doesn't seem to change. Superbly located in the centre of the town it is a little old fashioned but that's its charm. Bedrooms are OK and adequate for a quiet sleep after a great meal in the lovely outdoor dining area. Loads of people there so it must be good. Great menu and fabulous fish soup and then perfect duck breast. I love it here and will return.

Belgiumnothing, it met my expectations. Clean room, nice people, good bed. beautifull surrounding. The only thing I didn't like was that , being there for work, I could stay long enough to enjoy it more....
Whenever traveling to Mirepoix, you know that you are visiting history. Hotel le commerce is the same. This hotel is genuine old school french stop-over hotel. I re-live my youth holidays with my parents back in the seventies. Even then such hotels where already outdated but so charming. Very friendly owners/family helping where they can. enjoying the traditional regional kitchen . Looking at the price, you know what you're up fore so don't expect Hilton-standards. I love it and will keep going there every time.

FranceRooms were a bit dated, but that didn’t really matter as they were clean and comfortable. The shower head was difficult to get to stay put in the shower, kept slipping down, but water was nice and hot.
Clean, good sized family room, really nice welcoming staff, laidback feel. The exciting orange squeezing machine at breakfast was a hit with the kids. Food was nice. Pretty courtyard for dining at night.

United KingdomA lift would have been lovely - but evidently would have put up the rate. There are rooms after one set of stairs, or a second. You get a much better view of the cathedral if you go to the second floor.
Booking was confirmed quickly and the reception was efficient and clear. The room was lovely, looking over the courtyard restaurant trees. Good television too.

FranceWe had a lovely welcome. The hotel is in the centre of town but our room was really quiet. The bed was really comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfast on the terrace was very good value for 8 euros. It's an old style family run hotel, which some people may not like, we found it to be very quaint and it's obvious that the family and their staff take pride in their work and make sure their guests are happy.
