Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceWould have liked more gluten free choices at breakfast...but everything provided was first class and locally sourced.
Our beautiful, comfortable room overlooking the vineyard and Le Cirq Lapopie beyond. We loved the spa facilities and used them every afternoon during our stay. I highly recommend paying for the entire stay access pass to the spa, excellent value 👌. Walking distance to the supermarket, restaurants and bakery. For the village of St Cirq Lapopie itself, it is better to park in P3 and walk, taking in the stunning scenery...or use P6 for a shorter walk 🚶♀️.

United KingdomThere isn’t a lot nearby and many restaurants closed. Good that it has a kitchen so we could go buy supermarket food and cook it!

United KingdomNo real cafe or snack facilities on site. You need to go into St Cirq La Popie to eat in the evening but there are some spectacular restaurants high up in the village. Some of the staff were very grumpy - maybe they had a bad day!
Decorated in a shabby chic style appropriate to the style of the hotel. Breathtaking views of St Cirq La Popie. Spa facilities included but at a cost.

NetherlandsEverything was good, returning to this place already for the 2nd time. I know you are unique property in this area. I would just recommend to show more empathy, respect whatever their background, age, external appearance even you are "spoiled" with the wealthier guests. Impression can be deceiving.

United StatesWi-Fi was a bit spotty
The breakfast offerings were excellent along with the views of Rocamadour from the breakfast and dining rooms. Quick, easy, walkable access to the historic center with adequate parking options nearby. The beds were comfortable, and the interiors of the communal areas were quite stylish and fun. Great food, great staff!

AustraliaThe fact everything cost extra (pool/spa, breakfast etc etc) and the staff are bordering on arrogant and unhelpful.

AustraliaIn -room tea making facilities are not available; there is no onsite restaurant - only breakfast available; hotel is too far to walk to the village for dinner but there is an evening courtesy shuttle that will take you to one particular restaurant - however you need your own transport to eat elseswhere.
Beautiful room with terrace overlooking stunning views of Saint Cirq Lapoppie. Shower was great and bed very large and comfortable. Minibar was filled with drinks but would have been nice to have complimentary water and tea making facilities as hotel not always manned. Staff were lovely and we had a very enjoyable stay

MaltaI liked all
The hotel is amazing, it has a very nice view of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie. In spring or summer might be even better , however we really enjoy the day. we were there with our baby of 1,3 yo, we stayed in an apartment and it’s perfect for a family. The only thing (not bad , just we are with a baby) is that to go to the city you cannot go by walking, is quite far and with ups and downs . Amazing ! Super happy 😊

FranceThe location is perfect, the hotel is amazingly placed and is very welcoming, the staff is great, the food is so tasty, everything is so authentic, people are putting their heart in everything they offer you. The spa is also so good, it’s very clean and spacious for everyone in the hotel, and the massage was one of the best I have ever had. Astrid has magical hands, she’s an expert at what she does, she is very respectful and is at the disposal of the client. All in all a wonderful experience ! I recommend it highly !

Australiabed wasn’t the comfortable no tea or coffee making facilities in the room read on the comments from others that a courtesy bus took you up to Saint Cirq la Popie and when l asked receptionist she said you just drive up to the impenetrable village on the mountain top and have to park in the dark at either the very top or very bottom it was absolutely not on. Very annoyed with her service about that. Next morning when we left we saw the courtesy bus outside the hotel that should have taken us the night before. that spoilt things for us
the views nice decor

United Arab EmiratesThe WIFI was really poor and we had hardly any connection in the room. Asking the question to the owner which WiFi connection I should use his reaction was just use the strongest one you can get.
The room was standard and somewhat small but comfortable and clean. No toilet seats which we guess is the new form of hygiene as per the hotel standards. The buffet breakfast was very nice and well set up with a good variation of food, juices and coffee. Furthermore the location had a great pool and very well central located by car to the small center of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie
