눉This hotel is generally disappointing and far too expensive for the standard offered. It describes its rooms as suites. This is misleading. We paid 245 euros a night for a “standard suite” ie a room. It was poorly designed, small windows, limited view, inconvenient bathroom, and uncomfortable beds. At the price, one expects a room to provide such things as a mirror with a light over it, tissues etc. The dark lounge area above reception is awful. Breakfast at 19 euros each a day is obligatory and you have to make your own coffee from a machine. The very limited menu doesn’t change. We ate there once, the main course was good, the starters pretentious, the dessert atrocious, the service hit and miss. The huge dining chairs are uncomfortable. The staff are pleasant but inexperienced and unprofessional. At breakfast no one greets you and each day a waiter cleared a nearby table, sprayed it with a smelly product and banged cushions unnecessarily. We were given leaving instructions that applied to an apartment and not to a hotel room. There was no feedback form in the room. Only as I paid and said we were disappointed was I offered one. The wedge shaped pool doesn’t open till 10am and is too small to swim if there are kids in it. The wif has a weak signal and you have to log in every time.
눇The best thing about the hotel is Nadia, the masseuse in the spa. Her treatments are excellent. The ski lockers are very good.

눉The hotel is located next to the local council depot and all day long lorries and loaders with snow chains were constantly running past our room. The hotel is much smaller than the website pictures imply with the breakfast area, bar and restaurant all being one relatively small room. We booked the hotel due to the excellent experience we had at its sister hotel Le Hameau in Val Thorens two years ago, Le Taos is nowhere near the same quality or experience and was a disappointment. The rooms on the back of the hotel were much quieter but the three rooms at the front were very noisy and in my opinion should not be used as accommodation.
눇The staff were friendly and focused on looking after people well.
