How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We loved almost everything about our stay. The only negatives are easily fixed. This is a self-catering, appar'hotel style stay, so please could you provide some washing-up liquid and a brush? I had to try to wash up our dinner pots and plates with my hands! Surely in your best interests to spend a few euro on things to make the place cleaner??
Oh what an excellent place. We just love character properties and this has character in spades. Lovely town of Luxeuil is SO French. Lots of options for eating out and so many nice individual character shops

Excellent breakfast. All fresh and tasty. I especially like the cakes. And the small croissants and everything else. We stayed in the old hotel Metropole this time in a room with lovely high ceilings and a small balcony, perhaps a bit outdated (no airco), but I love the atmosphere. On an earlier visit we were in recidence les Thermes which is more modern and the rooms have airco. Both have a nice kitchenette.

Facilities. Have a vending machine to buy water, chips. We arrived on Saturday and there was no way to buy a bottle of water in the main city since all the shops were closed on Saturday evening. So it would be better to have a vending machine in the hotel.
The stay and the location was good. The staff was friendly. The rooms were spacious.

Room with high ceiling, balcony and view over park. Beautiful peaceful garden behind hotel, and cafe/bar terrace in front. Very helpful staff. Walk to nearby bars and restaurants in lovely old town.

Very friendly staff! The building and rooms are a bit 'old' and could use some updating, but finnaly everything works and the beds are comfortable. the location is nice in front of the 'thermes' and just at the edge of town center. Parking is easy at the side of the hotel.

Very simple rooms, very outdated interior, room was lacking in comfort, a lot of overdue maintenance, breakfast was very, very basic. Pictures on the website look nice but reality is different.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, location was great, the building exterior design is beautiful

Great accommodation in a lovely town packed with character, bars and restaurants plus some amazing architecture and historic buildings. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were super friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

We were only passing through but the studio had small kitchenette and was very spacious. We could have easily spent longer as there was much to see in the area. Luxeil is a lovely town and the area is near the mountains.

Only 2 very minor niggles: 1. Instructions needed for microwave 2. Slow and restrictive WiFi/internet access, which disliked android and W10 and disconnected as soon as you tried to stream. WhatsApp calls blocked.
Charming and personal reception - we were taken to our room. Spacious, comfortable and excellently equipped studio. First class disabled shower room. Nice towels, efficient heating. Building with nice fin-de-siècle atmosphere. Convenient parking.

We really enjoyed our stay in Hotels & Résidences - Les Thermes. After a week of camping and mountainbiking in the beautiful Vosges we were warmly welcomed by the exceptionally helpful staff. It was no problem to safely store our mountainbikes at their hotel. The quiet, spacious and clean room with a view at the garden gave us the opportunity to fully relax and regain some energy :) The little town of Luxeuil-les-Bains is a picturesque and friendly place. Definitely recommended a visit!
