Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Their last minute rate can be a bit high. Hotel fairly basic.
Great location. In fact amazing location. I don't usually stay this close to the station but the are is safe. Lille Station, Eurostar station and Westfield all minutes away. If you book early and can get this hotel at a good price, book it.

Nothing too much, you were a bit exposed with the curtains open as there is offices on the other side but it didn’t really bother us.
Staff were excellent really polite! Location is excellent as it’s between both Lille train stations. Bed was comfortable.

In our particular room, the sliding bathroom door did not shut properly and there was a huge gap!! Also, the rooms could be fitted with some drawers for clothes as we had to live out of our suitcases. Obviously, there were wardrobes to hang other garments, but nothing for smaller items which we found a bit strange!
The Hotel is situated in a very good position in relation to Lille and seeing everything. It is about a 3 minute walk from Lille Europe and has a large shopping centre adjacent. Only had breakfast on the first morning, which was continental but plenty of choice.

No air conditioner in the bedroom could be a serious problem during hot weather. Besides that, everything was ok.
The localization was just great, almost part of the historical center with everything that we need really close. The staff was great and fast.

I wish the room had a security box (in any case, I didn't experience any issues, but I like to have peace of mind) Additionally, I chose not to include breakfast as I thought it was pricey for what was on offer. It could have been phenomenal, I will never know. But Lille is in France: it is possible to buy a delicious croissant pretty much anywhere.
The room was exactly as pictured. It was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed. The location is excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is right between the two main train stations, making it an excellent spot for those who are city hopping. It within easy walking distance to the Old Town and the metro, trams and buses are just minutes away, making it easy to reach tourist attractions further afield.

THe breakfast was OK, but nothing special. For this price, you can eat better in the cafe in the same building. It was a bit cold in the room and heating is central, so you cant do anything about it All the channels are in French- no English (or Spanish) or any other language channels on TV
For me it was the perfect location- in walking distance to downtown, both railway stations and my conference centre. The room was nice, with hairdryer and table for working. It was not luxurious as I would have expected for this price, but everything was OK, the receptionists were helpful. For request I was given an iron, too.
