Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Everything was ok.
Clean apartment,lift in the hotel. Entrance to metro was so close. Hotel located in cosy and quiet area. Around are some bars, restaurants and shops.

Unfortunately there was an unpleasant smell coming from the sink whenever I used it. Otherwise everything was peachy

Staff at the reception did not really speak English, it would have been nice and accommodating. With my personal situation I felt like the reception staff could use a bit more training in order to understand what world class service means.
I liked that the location is close to the metro and a couple of bakeries around. The view from the window was not that great as it was facing the church across the street. Other than that, I liked how basic and clean the room was, the rain shower, loved it!

The room was thoughtfully designed and had everything I needed. Staff were wonderful, even when I was not so wonderful :). Welcoming, helpful, and friendly. Breakfast was good, easy, with fresh fruit, croissants, bread, cheese, orange juice and hot drinks. It was very very close to the Metro and the lively Jourdain area, and very quick to get to the museums I visited.

The hotel is located directly on metro line 11, get off at the Jourdain station and you will immediately find yourself in front of the hotel. There is a church opposite the hotel, so we had a view from the bed straight to the temple. Directly below the hotel there is a pleasant bar where you can also have a delicious meal. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The night shift receptionist was very rude and we couldn’t sleep during our stay because there were construction next to the hotel. Bad soundproof.

The train station was very close, which was fantastic for our journey's to the city's sights. The staff we're happy, very helpful. The location of the hotel is brilliant. Not too far away from the Centre, but not too close either. Was a great start to our holiday in Europe

No Fan or air con, which would be useful in summer if balcony doors are closed. Fresh air with doors open is great, but noisy, especially at 3am when staff were trying to chase away 2 people creating a lot of noise and mess.
Room was clean and comfortable. Had a fridge, which was useful. Staff were available 24/7 and very friendly. Balcony was nice and a view of the church. Shops and patisseries and cafes very very close. Not in centre of Paris but Metro is 1 minute walk away

There is one negative aspect for summer: the lack of climatiser. Nonetheless, it wasn't that unbearable thanks to a ventilator.
The room was spacious, and with appropriate facilities for the price. There was a mini-bar to refrigerate food/ drinks. I want to underline that the staff is very sympathetic and welcoming.
