Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The minimum supply of loo paper (no spares) and bthrm tissues for our 5 night stay. Also, while aptmt was well equipped, there was no toaster!
Good location, appreciated the upgrade & early room availability on check in.

Rooms could have been cleaner and fresher. Breakfast not great for vegetarians and on last few days ran out of fruit. Would have been good to be warned about narrow parking - we would have got a smaller car. Room 316 smelt of urine - floor or bathroom.
Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Several nice touches - fussball, sweets, water, games. Very well located hotel - 2 mins from a large casino and 8 mins walk to centre ville. We would stay here again if revisting. And to be honest, a family of 5 having 2 rooms next door to each other was fantastic.

I dont like the type of hair dryer provided. It cam blow dry but i cant style my hair as its shape isnt right

We drove to hotel in a rental car Though it was great to have an underground car park right at the hotel, the same entry /exit ramp to the garage was windy and the full size rental car could easily scrape the curves of the wall if one is not careful
The hotel rooms were spacious with a common area and small kitchen good for 5 of us The hotel staff were helpful with recommendations about the town

Nothing. Good value and clean
Well equipped for a 2 night stay. We had a twin studio. Easy walking distance to centre town for cafes and restaurants and sights. We enjoyed our stay in this lovely city.

The room is so so so small that a baby bed could not fit! So is the toilet. The living room with the kitchen are good.
The location is great. The lobby is kids friendly with many kids games and stuff to keep them busy.

Functional common areas rather than relaxing or romantic. Quite high price considering everything.

Just a very small thing: Would be nice to have BBC on TV. I don't expect German TV (although there were some), but for me and many others, BBC is the gold standard.

Unable to get extra pillows.
Easy 5 minute walk into Aix. Great to have the flexibility of a studio with good facilities. Clean and comfortable with air conditioning Good value for money.

The air conditioning was not working well - room was stuffy - for 3 people it was really tight although we booked a suite that is for 4 people . Bed room was too tight - not much place to walk around it
The location was ideal - it was close to the main square, shops and restaurants ( 7 mins walk ) Parking was available at extra charge on site . Balcony was spacious .

The small elevator
The location was ideal for getting around the city center. Perfect if you are traveling by car. The hotel has their own parking garage which makes it much easier for parking. Hotel had everything you need when doing a road trip with the family.
