Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI've read some previous reviews about the noise from the outside, but it's really more from the neighbouring rooms. It could do with more soundproofing.
Location. It is just across Gare du Nord, which is quite handy if you wish to explore the city (via Metro). Close to restaurants and shops. It is a good place if you just want somewhere to rest after exploring the city.

United KingdomI did place a "Do Not Disturb" hanger on my door on one day, thinking it wasn't necessary for anyone to clean a room which I'd barely used, except to sleep, and I left my laptop on the bed assuming nobody would be in, however I returned to find my door hanger swapped over to "Please Clean my Room" and my room was fully made up, with my laptop returned to being on the bed after it had been made. It is possible another guest accidently (or mischieviously?) switched the hanger, but I suspect it was a breakdown in communication as the housekeeping staff had almost no English and perhaps didn't understand that I didn't want it serviced... I would probably let the front desk know when I went out, next time, if I don't want my room serviced. (I will probably stay here again). Just FYI - The showers were variable in their consistency of temperature and direction of the shower head. The top floor was the most unpredictable, but my friend said she had issues on the 5th floor, although I never had any problems with this one.
The beds were clean and bed bug free, which is a consideration in Paris (I stayed in 3 different rooms so I can say "beds") The staff were usually very friendly, welcoming and keen to help wherever possible and I felt safe in this hotel. (important when travelling as a single woman or as a fair of women) I booked a single room for one night, then my friend who was travelling from the USA booked a twin room for 3 nights, and I booked a third room for 2 nights to have some 'me time' in Paris. We were able to leave luggage at the hotel on the day my friend checked in and I had checked out or my first room. There was always someone on the front desk, I never saw it empty at any time. There were minimal language barriers for us as most staff spoke a little French, and the front desk staff usually spoke excellent English. They were also very kind in encouraging me to practice my minimal French knowledge.

United KingdomWe were in room 21. Dark room due to little day light coming in due to its position in the hotel. Lots of cigarette ends, discarded food boxes and even underwear on the small roof outside the bedroom window.
Very very comfortable bed, slept very well, good sized modern bathroom. The staff here were very nice and very helpful especially Patrice. The location was fantastic, straight off the train from London. Lots of taxis and buses available to get around the city, we didn't use the Metro. Plenty of Bistros and various places to eat and drink. Would use this hotel again.

United KingdomWouldn’t feel comfortable as a lone female staying here as area a bit rough and a lot of people loitering by the front of the hotel.
The room was spacious and very clean. The hotel itself not much to say really as simply a reception desk and the rooms. The location good to walk everywhere 20 minutes to Montematre and the centre an hour but walking through interesting streets.

United KingdomBreakfast was overpriced for what it was - no fruit or hot food, children didn’t eat much. Our room was clean, but could have been better, walking with socks on gave us dusty feet, rest of hotel was dirty, stairs we’re terrible! Thick with dust
Fantastic location, Room was adequate for what we needed, Breakfast was okay

United States of AmericaThe walls were very thin. We were woken up by next door's alarm every morning at 6 am. A/C unit only had Heat option and was not user-friendly to operate.
Location is the best thing about this hotel. Literally 50 steps away from the Gare du Nord, which provides access to any corner in Paris. Breakfast-provided at a sister hotel (New Hotel) is decent. Many nice restaurants in the area, which we had to try due to foul weather during our trip, scaring us to go anywhere else. Staff spoke good English.

Perfect for a late Gare du Nord arrival. Room was clean and practical. Single bed was firm and bedding and towels were pristine. Bathroom was also clean and functional.

AustraliaThe accomodation is in an area which is somewhat “rough” and difficult to drive to
The accommodation was across the street to the major train station (it’s the reason we chose it). It had an elevator, a very welcoming sight and makes life easier when having suitcases Very close to restaurants and cafes

AustraliaHad trouble with air conditioning but was probably my fault. Lift had some problems but was fixed quickly. Desk light needed rewiring.
Room was good separate bathroom. Hotel is in a good location near the station and restaurants nearby. Some people selling cigarettes and others in front of station detracted from the travel. Felt safe in hotel and travel across road to hotel. Hotel clean and good room and size. Staff good and helpful.
