Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe room was small and decoration/furniture was very tired. The rubber was coming off the shower head and the bottom of the bathroom door peeling. The shower gel ran out during the stay and wasn’t replaced.
Very well located.

United KingdomThe air-con in the room was not very effective. As I was facing the inner court yard it was quiet enough for me to sleep with the window open, so not too much of an issue.
Location was fabulous - lots of shops and restaurants on your doorstep and right next to Metro and RER train services. Easy to get to anywhere. Complimentary coffee in the lounge downstairs (and sometimes pastries) also a nice touch.

RussiaGreat location in the city center, there is a train/subway station straight in front of the hotel. The room was a bit on a smaller side, but it should be expected in historical building near the city center.

IrelandThere was really nothing, it was very successful for a small hotel-the lift is very tiny, but the stairs an attractive spiral
A little gem, fantastic location, easy check in/out with very pleasant staff, tasty breakfast, very comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, tea/coffee in the room

United States of AmericaThe facilities could definitely use some updating. The carpet was very run down and my shower water pressure could have been improved. Also, I knew the room was going to be small but the "Double Room - courtyard view" I booked was really only suitable for 1 person.
The location of this hotel was why I picked it. It was extremely walkable to all the sites in Paris we used to see.

United KingdomWe only had breakfast at the hotel on 1 day, it was basic and probably not worth the money. We had breakfast one of the days in the restaurant next door which was far nicer and better for the money.
Fantastic location, very easy for us to get around the city using the metro as well as within walking distance to a number of locations we wanted to visit. Hotel room small as expected but for the 3 nights we were away it was perfectly suitable for us, we fortunately only had 1 suitcase. Room was clean and there was daily housekeeping which kept the room tidy. Lift was super small, room for 2 only but again fine for us. We would take the lift up but walk down.

BrazilThe price charged by the hotel was a bit higher than the reservation made (including taxes). The staff was very confused and had to sum up all the charges and could not match what was agreed at booking.com. Hotel needs an urgent renovation, rooms were small and cost benefit for what we paid was very low, despite the great location. Uncomfortable beds and pillows.
Great location, staff was very kind and supportive. 70 meters from Saint Michel metro station and 150 m from another metro line. Pretty everything available by foot.

AustraliaThe lighting in our bedroom was dreadful and while this may sound trivial, it was very difficult getting ready in almost dark conditions. Being winter, we didn’t have the early morning or late afternoon light. No powerpoint in the bathroom meant having to straighten my hair in the bedroom in the almost dark, which most people trying to do their hair, would recognise as being difficult to do. This did cause significant issues when trying to get ready to go out for dinner at night, after being out all day with hair being under a beanie! As I said, this may sound trivial to some, but was very frustrating. The only lighting in the bedroom, was bedside and an over the desk light and a light in the entrance at the door.
Absolutely loved the location and the ease of getting around. Views from our room were fabulous and had a very classical French ‘vibe’. Very walkable to most landmarks and around the corner from Notre Dame and Shakespeare’s Bookshop. We were spoiled for choice, for very easy walking distance cafes and restaurants. We had a winter stay and the room heating was very good.

IrelandAll good - we had to leave really early so we missed breakfast, wish I had longer time there.
I loved the location of this hotel, close to the RER and GREAT for walking around central Paris. We had a very cute room on the top floor and lucky enough to have a stellar view of the Eiffel Tower in the distance. Helpful staff

MaltaThe hotel is quite old. The floor coverings, wardrobes, and bathtubs are worn out. Also, the rooms are a bit dusty due to the floor coverings. If you need a workspace, such as a lobby, the hotel lacks enough.
We stayed for 4 nights in December. The best thing about the hotel is its location. We hardly used the metro. It's easy to reach major attractions like Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Champs-Élysées, and more. Breakfast was adequate but not fully ready at the exact time.
