Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe lights were a bit difficult to coordinate but we figured them out. Plus, the hall light by our door did not illuminate the keyhole making it difficult to unlock the door. But those were very minor glitches in an otherwise perfect stay!
What a treat! This hotel was delightful. My friend and I, “ladies of a certain age”, stayed for six nights. The location is perfect and the junior suite was spacious with a lovely view of the square and over the rooftops to Sacre Coeur. We were on the top floor and the lift was fine for the two of us and our very large suitcases. Plus, French elevator music is a cut above the usual! The staff was friendly and helpful. Thank you Aris, Marie Therese, and Lucy. We loved the jars of candies, especially the gummy sharks. The Latin Quarter is definitely the place to be and Select Hotel is the place to stay!

United KingdomRooms not particularly spacious. Would definitely reccommend room over from Place de la Sorbonne. Room might be a bit stuffy in warm conditions. The climate control was not really effective.
Superb central location. Quiet, historic, safe area. Plenty of food and drink opstions. Green space within 400 yards. Easy walking distance to central Paris and wonderful transportation links. Room was comfortable (although not the biggest). Staff attentive, courteous and helpful.

CanadaThe breakfast is not worth the 17 Euros. I would not recommend having breakfast in the hotel
It’s perfectly located. The rooms are spacious enough & very very comfortable. The staff was very nice. Very willing to help offering us umbrellas & water . Tea is available in the lobby with afternoon cookies. I would recommend this hotel to anyone & will definitely stay here again

United KingdomThe local mayor has increased the tax for £15 per room to £60. Although this isn’t the hotels fault they did fail to let us know before arrival and we didn’t find out until departure. However, the staff were very understanding and explained that this increase is due to the Olympics coming in the summer and the mayor increasing rates for all. They did say they would look into this and see if they could provide a room discount once they have spoken to the manager, so we have paid the bill not knowing if they will honour this or not, I guess we will need to wait and see but no one has got in touch as yet.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating

IrelandThe elevator was a bit tight and the room was a little compact. However both were very high quality and suitable.
The location is perfect for exploring the major sites of Paris. It was central and walking distance to many locations worth visiting. The square it's on is relaxing but bustling at times, not that you would notice the sound from the rooms which were silent. The staff were all friendly, helpful and approachable. Really enjoyed my stay here with my partner. We would come back again without hesitation.

DenmarkSo centralt in Paris. Close to Metro and train, not many meters away. Good restaurants and Bistros outside the door. Experience the Parisian atmosphere the moment you move around the quarter. All staff are extremely professional and super helpful. A big thank you to you all for making our stay perfekt!! The hotel is special with many details, not least a candy stall and lovely fresh water for free use if you need it after a long day of adventures. The first thing you encounter when you get to your room is a delicious clean scent and a super clean room. There is also a coffee machine where there is free tea and coffee which is refilled daily by the nicest employee. The maids who offered cleaning every day and always smiling and helpful. Umbrellas at reception necessary for free use. We had breakfast out in the city so we can not rate that. We will be back and will recommend this delicious hotel to everyone.
