To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

RussiaThe room has only 2 sockets and none of them near the bed. The amount of the city tax is incorrect on the Booking, it's 5 euros per person per night.
Our stay was nice. The location is perfect. The Metro is very close, it's also possible to walk from districts 1 or 2 to the hotel. The room was small but ok, the TV was big, the wi-fi works well. There were a mini-bar, a kettle, a hairdryer, an air conditioner, and a safe box.

Room was compact but comfy. Hotel was very close to metro entrance. There was a lot of options to eat in the neighborhood. I liked smart TV who had built-in applications i.e. YouTube and that was awesome.

Our arrival flight was very early in the morning so to be able to store our luggage until check in was fantastic. Very close to two Metro stations on the 3 line. Good cafè and bar options right nearby. Excellent stroll to Oberkampf and Bastille areas. Was able to feel like a faux local for the week.
