The main waiter for the breakfast has redefined unfriendly for us. It was amusing to greet him in the most happy way just to see him cringe and swallow his bile before finally excreting a kind of bonjour in return. I’ve been to this hotel a number of times in the past and generally the staff is superb- it’s a bit unfortunate i probably won’t go back because of that one person.

The location remains fantastic and the hotel has an authentic charm, although an update/refresh might become needed.

Excellent location. Very good breakfast. Room was small but very well laid out with plenty of storage space. Staff very friendly & helpful. When we arrived, room was ready. The safe was not working, but was replaced immediately when we highlighted this.

The hotel seemed to be there in spite of itself - the oldy-worldy feel of its Scottish theme overlapped with a tiredness and lack of care. The pool table and wood-panelled bar in the entrance was a tasteful touch but there was never anyone behind it serving drinks. The staff in general were unsmiling and guest requests seemed like an effort - when I said the coffee machine in my room was leaking, I was told I'd probably broken it, and I overheard a woman who'd asked for a table to be cleared at breakfast so she could sit down, 'Why can't you sit somewhere else?' (But maybe this is the rude Paris we hear about!) Breakfast was underwhelming: two rooms in a windowless basement with horrible machine coffee though ample fresh bread and patisseries, option to boil eggs, yoghurts and cereals.

The location is excellent for the Latin Quartier and access to transport, tourist sites, cafés and restaurants. On the fifth floor was a great view and little balcony which was delightful though the room was small. Nice deep bath and all amenities.

Nothing special, the hotel is good for a short stay.

Very friendly staff at the reception. There was no barman, but the reception clerk did his best to serve drinks at the bar. It was very nice talking to him, great end of the day.

The bar needs to be manned all the time by a bartender. Now it was a dead space with no service nor guests in it. What is the point?

First of all we had to pay an additional 65€ for the city tax, on top of the already very expensive hotel. We had only two plugs in the room to charge our smartphones, cameras and laptops that were not enough plus only one next to the bed. The double bed was 2 single beds but next to each other.

As soon as I entered my room I noticed an unpleasant smell which I assume came from the bathroom. It was there every day even though they cleaned my room.

Rooms were larger than expected for France, and decently appointed, but some of the outlets were inconveniently placed and there wasn't much space around the foot of the bed to navigate easily.

We walked all over town from our hotel and it was very easy to do so. Near Notre Dame and La Seine, plenty of restaurants, stores, cafes, and entertainment around. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but satisfying.

This is a very good hotel in an excellent location in the Quartier Latin. Easy access to all things worth seeing in Paris, and good access to public transportation. The breakfast is very good and diverse. The rooms are a bit small, but clean and comfortable.

The furnitures was old end they have not enough maintenance for a 4 star hotel is not acceptable especially for the best room they have Olso the room hasn't eny heating !!!

The room was a bit small, but that was the only complaint.

The room was comfortable and clean, the location was great and the staff were very accommodating. We arrived early and the staff kindly facilitated an early check in.
