The bathroom left a bit to be desired. My eye immediately went to the seal on the shower screen, which was filthy. The walls had mould on them, which could have been sorted with the correct paint. The window also rattled a lot but granted it was windier than usual. We wedged it the best we could but that in turn let in a lot of noise from outside.

Staff were very friendly on check in, didn't feel the need to greet you every time on the way in and out which personally I like! Room was stylish and spacious, good sized bed. Bathroom had a little motion censored light which I thought was such a great touch for in the night. The room was on the front and there was noise on a night but it had usually stopped by the time we wanted to go to sleep, this was midweek however so may differ on a weekend, especially with a pub right outside. Location was great, we went scenic routes a lot of the time not realising how close everything was! Sally Lunn's was steps away, Bath Abbey and Roman Baths not much further!

Minor point but the bathroom facilities could use a little renovation.

Great location and cool design in the rooms. The breakfast was really nice, as it offered a-la-carte options as opposed to just a buffet.

Nothing at all, there was nothing to dislike

The receptionist Megan was super helpful, very pleasant, and welcoming. The hotel is very central and authentic. The bar, the waiters, the hotel, and the team working there ticked all the boxes for a fantastic experience at Bath. The ladies' toilet in the lobby area has a beautiful window overlooking an amazing view. We arrived a bit early, and we could not check in, but the staff looked after ours bags. The room decor was very nice and comfortable, you could move easily, you have everything you need. Special thanks to Megan, Sannah and Sourabh. I would definitely recommend the hotel to my friends. I will be back.

We paid to upgrade our room and although there were no issues, we felt in was a bit on the smallish side and had hoped for a king sized bed. We had breakfast on the last day which was most enjoyable but we thought it was a little overpriced.

The hotel was in an ideal location just to one side of the centre but still in easy reach of everything. We had a room at the back and could not hear any outside noise, so with that and a comfortable bed we slept well. All the staff were courteous and very helpful. We arrived 4 hours before the check-in time and the hotel tagged and stored our cases in a secure locked room. When we left, we wanted to do more sightseeing and again were able to leave our cases until we collected our car on the way home.

Room 318 is so small and should be for single person occupancy. The wardrobe has the smallest hanging space with room for two or three items, no drawers or place for coats, no dressing table or chair. Accessing the one side of the bed was extremely difficult and made more so because of the television which was enormous and dominated the room it was at least a 60" screen- a 26" would have been more suited to the size of the room. The view from the room was non existent as is at the back of the building overlooking a side street. I mentioned all of the above as we left and was told "you should have said something - we could can moved you to a different room". I felt sure they have heard all this before so why sell room 318 as a double when in reality it is a box room suitable only as a single.

Abbey hotel is well placed for access to all that Bath has to offer. Breakfasts are excellent, staff friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable

Unfortunately no room service at this hotel and the room was smaller than I was expecting. We had some issues with the electrics in the bathroom and the extractor fan blew the lights but the hotel promptly moved us to a room next door so wasn't a major issue.

Location of the hotel is fab. I emailed ahead and mentioned it was our wedding Anniversary so the hotel upgraded our room and we had a complimentary cheese cake in the room when we arrived and the towels shaped as swans in a heart which was a nice touch. The Shower was lovely and powerful and nice large TV screen.

We were in the extended part of the hotel one floor below street level so there was no view, but there was light from two windows. This wasn’t a big drawback as we only stayed one night and were out and about all day. There were also lots of stairs back to reception but we found a closer entrance door that we could access which was useful.

Our room was ready for an early check in. The room was very clean and comfortable, lovely bed, great bathroom with hot shower and luxury toiletries. Location of hotel was superb with easy parking nearby. Breakfast was very tasty and great value for money.
