Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaBuilding looks very tired on the outside although the inside was surprisingly good. Struggled to get hot water in the shower, had to leave taps running for 10 minutes before water started to warm. The restaurant was closed which was disappointing as this was not stated anywhere. Had to chase down menus at the bar surely these could be readily available? Also this is in April and cold, rooms too hot and needed window open all night. For a Best Western it was not up to their usual standard but also appreciate it is off season.
Had electric car charging which was a nice surprise. Easy to access and lots of parking.

United KingdomThe exterior looks awful! Not the greatest of introductions to the hotel. Looks like an old council building that’s been condemned. Extra charge for dog which wasn’t clear.
Big, comfy rooms, nice staff, next to beach.

Can't comment on breakfast as I choose not to eat but the bed was comfortable amazing high quality nice big TV.. room with a view that's is priceless... exceptional clean

United KingdomI was appalled by the dinner arrangements. Dinner was served in the bar where guests had GB news and Nigel Farage inflicted on them while they ate. Guests should not have to listen to biased extremist right wing propaganda and my opinion of Best western (and my likelihood of returning to this hotel chain) has reduced as a result of this situation
room was clean and well appointed. Breakfasts in the restaurant were very tasty and quickly served

United KingdomThe hotel needs a bit more love in terms of the condition & finish of the corridors e.g. doors and the room decoration which are showing their age.

United KingdomBreakfast was not worth the cost and i only had it the first morning, i then purchased elsewhere as i was working and needed a good breakfast, trying to check out early on the morning was bad, i had to call the number as even though i shouted (as per note left on the reception desk) the member of staff was too busy watching football.... loudly, then when he finally came he then left me to let someone in and had a chat before finally allowing me to check out.... it caused me to be late for work so i will not be staying again.
Bed was comfortable, check in was easy, parking was easy and hotel had a lift

United KingdomI had booked a room with shower, and there only seemed to be one room available suitable for guests with mobility challenges. As the previous guest wanted to stay an extra night, I was allocated a room with a bath. Then was able to change rooms the next day. As it was between Christmas and New Year food was only available in the bar area. Food was very limited, would have loved some vegetables. The beach was very close, but the surrounding area was very run down ( no fault of the Hotel). Needs some investment.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. Tea/coffee making facilities available. TV was working. Car parking available and free for residents. Near the beach, cinema and fitness centre. New Year's Eve dinner was great. Heating in the room was good.

United KingdomThe dinner arrangements on the first night were very peculiar; the dining room was closed so we were put on a table at one side of the bar, where there was no-one else dining. In addition, the meal I chose had cheese sprinkled all over it, which had not been mentioned on the menu, and which I don't eat. So I had to have my meal cooked again while my companions finished theirs. We ate somewhere else on the second night. The breakfast was ok, but it would be much better to have more fruit available, eg prunes, orange segments, apricots etc rather than a fairly ordinary fruit salad. There was no muesli and the waitress didn't even seem to know what it was - she offered me porridge!!
The room had a lovely sea view and a new bed. It was clean and supplied with what we needed - toiletries, towels, tea/coffee etc. The location of the hotel was perfect for what we wanted.

United KingdomThe bar area was very cold. I appreciate it was January and it has a very high ceiling but it could have been warmer. There is maintenance going on at the hotel but they really need to step this up as it could be a fabulous hotel if it was renovated well.
The room and bathroom were spotless and the bed was firm and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good for the standard of the hotel. The location is the reason we stayed there as it's a 2 minute walk to the beautiful Aberavon beach which was perfect for our dogs.
