My only negative was the breakfast, full English, which didn't taste fresh at all. The toast was rubbery, the egg undercooked, and the beans were a little bit disgusting, to be honest. It all seemed to have been prepared beforehand because it was served straight away. My tip: Book a room without breakfast, and have your breakfast at one of the many excellent cafés or restaurants around Paddington.

Great location, and not a bad-sized single room (top floor) for this price in this area. Hot water in the shower, friendly manager, slept well enough though a little hot in the room.

The electric kettle is very dirty inside! Disgusting!

Good location, clean hotel running by an kind, elderly couple. I had a single room on the top floor. Its a tiny manzard room with a small bathroom. If you are in good physical condition and not overweight, suitable for a short stay. Breakfast ok. Paddington, metro stations are 8 min.

The bed was a bit too hard for my taste, but the duvet and pillow was some of the comfiest I've ever slept with, so it makes up for it. The only "bad" thing I would like to point us is that it was very cold in the bathroom, and I didn't figured out how to turn up the heat in there.

As a solo traveller my room had the perfect size with (almost) everything it needed with a good (quite big) bed, own bathroom, hairdryer, closet and the ability to make tea and/or coffee in my own room. I had the English breakfast during my stay which was alright (supplementery buy) and the staff was very kind!

Great Location, a 4 min walk to Paddington station, it was ok, out most of the day so really only needed a bed. The breakfast was nice, it filled us up for the day ahead. The owners are an older couple but they work their little socks off

Breakfast was a bit disappointing - cold toast, stale cereal, or £7 extra for cooked breakfast. Not all of the sockets worked in the room. One of the milk cups had curdled.

The room was not very clean. The carpet had not been hoovered, and there were hairs in the bed. We didn't use the tea/coffee making facilities as the kettle looked really old and the area wasn't very inviting. The shower cubicle was really small, and the shower head sprayed water in all directions, and there wasn't any shower wash, just 2 shampoos and 2 soaps. There was a lot of noise from the road outside that went on until the early hours of the morning, so we didn't get much sleep. The secondary glazing did not close properly, which didn't help. For what we paid (although it was the cheapest I could find), it wasn't good value, in my opinion. Also, although breakfast was included in the price, there was still a £7 supplement for the cooked English breakfast, which the owner was kind enough to wave when I questioned it. I think this should be mentioned in the listing. You are just paying for the location when you stay here.

Few bits could do with updating (kettle/shower) Mattress a bit uncomfortable. But all matched the price so can’t complain too much.

Close to Paddington station. Rare option of a single room which was perfect for me. Good value for money for the area. Two pillows for the bed. Ambient temperature. I didn’t have the breakfast as I left very early but it’s great that it’s included in the price.

My room was on the top floor so quite a trek if you have suitcases. Only to be expected in a Victorian (I think 😀) property, so not really an issue.

- very kind and helpful owners of the place, -quite close to shops, restaurants, metro or train (if youre goin to use it - we didnt), - 30 minutes walk to Buckingham Palace where you can start sightseeing, - two pillows in bed, -you can leave your luggage, - have early check-in if the room is ready

The supplement for the cooked breakfast an extra £7 on top of what I was paying, thought bit extreme and was not advertised that this was the case. I did not like the fact had to climb 3 to 4 flights of stairs to get to the bedroom.

Location great did not have to travel far to get to a play in the West end I was seeing.
