Did what I needed it to do.

The room was spotlessly clean. Although it was fairly basic, it did the job. The room was was small, but was fine for an overnight stay. The room was right at the top of the building, so that ensured that it was quiet. A microwave is also available for those who do not want to go out to eat.

    Nothing to complain about

Comfortable room, nice bathroom and a microwave outside the room proved very useful. I didn’t use the pub downstairs but others might like to

The one improvement I'd like is a hook to hang clothes or jackets

Price good and location close enough to walk to BAE SYSTEMS or into Barrow itself. Also I trust the people working here

Couldn't get the TV to work. The rooms need to be updated to be a bit modern. No hot food to buy. The bed squeaked all the time.

I lost my wallet in the bar area, it was handed in. The staff are very friendly. Excellent choice of beer. Very friendly pub goers. Rooms very clean. Brilliant place to watch sport on the TV in the bar area.

The room could do with being updated, the single bed was uncomfortable with only one flat pillow. The room was very dusty and because of this I sneezed all through the night , getting very little sleep. I paid £50 for one night and unfortunately there was no option for breakfast.

The staff were friendly , its was central for everything in Barrow. . The bathroom although it needed a few repairs was clean.

Only one thing I would say is we needed more pillows not just one each.

We had a lovely pleasant stay for 3 nights. Rooms upstairs below the pub which was a advantage as when I wanted a quiet night upstairs, I knew my partner was fine in the bar below. Also our pug came along for his first holiday. Very clean and tidy and reasonably priced. We had a comfortable stay, I also liked that everything was to hand eg tea bags, milk and toilet rolls means you don’t have to bother staff. Would definitely return when in the area again.

Minor gripe was a hole in the wall in the bathroom, where something had previously been. More importantly, I was in Whitley Bay in July and paid £108 for similar room only. This was £150 for two nights. Was the Ambrose worth an extra £42 or £21 a night? Probably not.

It was a decent size room, it was clean and it was a double bed.

Only stayed one night, so everything was as expected

We had been in Keswick and then travelled to the South Lakes Zoo. Afterwards, we decided that instead of driving back to scotland we would stay another night away. Being in Barrow-in-Furness, we chose the Ambrose. Very good location to the shops and food. There was a communal fridge in the hall, which meant we could buy and keep our drinks cold, definitely a wee bonus for the warm nights into mornings! The room was clean and comfortable, very good value.
