Realistically, for the money, it is hard to say how it could be better. So, no - there isn't anything negative really.

Welcome was friendly and lovely touch of welcome cake. Breakfast was amazing 1 traditional with home made sausage, 1 poached eggs, avocado and smoked salmon on sourdough.

Having the shared bathroom next door has a disadvantage - if you're having a lie-in, you can hear the person in the other room showering. The electric shower makes a fairly loud whirring noise. The car park is handy, but parking is a bit tight. But these are very minor niggles. I would certainly stay again.

Location is excellent right in centre of the town in a picturesque old street leading to the main church and castle. it's a converted Georgian townhouse with all the character that goes with it. Chris is extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast is very good. It sets you up very well for the day. Room 2 was a reasonable size. I didn't get an en suite but the toilet and shower were literally next door. The cost at £43 per night (I stayed for two) is absolutely exceptional. I've stayed in hotels where they charge that much for breakfast alone! I really recommend the Angel.

This Guesthouse is beautiful, My room was was lovely and clean ,the bed was so comfortable, The house is just a short stroll into town .The breakfast was absolutely delicious too .I highly recommend this beautiful guest house ,it definitely deserved to win Four in a bed .

A little tired looking.

Possibly the attention to detail when it won four in a bed, where was now 8 years ago that precision was not quite there. The reminder that I had to vacate my room by 10am which I totally adhered to and appreciate I thought the reminder was a tad schooley. Parking-was not offered a car park space when I asked when I cudnt park in the road, I thought that was a tad strange. As it happened I went into town for supper and when I came back I did get a final slot on road so not a problem.

Yummy breakfast, lovely comfy bed, power shower hot water at all times.

I loved that the shared bathroom wasn't really shared. It is for this room only. It is two steps out of the room but it is not shared with anybody else.
