The shower could be better and the toilet made a lot of noise after flushing it. We were also expecting breakfast to be served (our reservation said it was included), but there was only coffee, tea and a small chocolate biscuit in the room for us.

The room was cozy and had really nice, comfortable beds. The owner was kind and friendly. I think the best part was the location, with buses to the city center at a short walk distance.

Tiny shower in a small en suite. Anyone with mobility issues wouldn't be able to use. No breakfast available. Maybe some pastries with tea/coffee would be nice.

We were expecting breakfast to be included as it was last time we stayed. It didn't matter as we had coffee/tea and biscuits in the room and had had a lovely meal the previous night. At home we usually have a light breakfast

It was close to the Botanic Gardens where we attended a meeting and easy to get to the centre of Edinburgh The visit was both for 'work' and pleasure which I couldn't indicate in the questionnaire. We have stayed at Ardleigh before.

We didn't find a restaurant we enjoyed.

This was a very convenient location to catch a bus to Edinburgh Castle and the owner was very helpful in explaining how to do that. Parking was free and just across the street. Our room was comfortable and clean.

Kitchen cooking fumes tended to permeate hall and stairway but bedroom was fine.

Located in part of town with excellent public transport and abundant free car parking. Large bedroom. Generous and well prepared breakfasts. Friendly hosts.

The breakfast was very good. A lovely man runs this sweet bed and breakfast. I’m very glad we stayed away from the city center and walking distance to the botanical gardens.

Tiny bathroom and wifi was very weak. We Didn’t realize you had to book ahead for breakfast and then they couldn’t accommodate us last minute. This was our fault most likely, but thought they’d have something for us as I had messaged them in advance to ask if they had gluten free items for breakfast and they said yes.

Lovely B & B not to far from centre with ability to see local attractions, good bus route and easy walk to the Royal Yacht Britannia Owner went out of way to assist us in travel advice and access to attractions Excellent breakfast Room had a view of the Castle Would recommend staying here

We were in the family room at the front. Ferry Road is busy and if the windows were open (it was v hot) the road noise was rather noticeable. It didn't spoil our stay but if you are a light sleeper, take some earplugs . Not the hotels fault and wouldn't stop us booking again

The room size was a little small for 2 & you had to manage movement. Poor storage space for suitcases & bags & no space under bed to store. Only 6 clothes hangers.

The host, Bob was brilliant. Very pleasant, helpful & sociable. No other staff seen. Breakfast & choices & service was 1st class. The location was fine although away from the hustle |& bustle of town it was only a pleasant 30 min walk or a bus ride that had a very frequent service with the bus stop yards away from the guest house. Free parking opposite was good.
