Walls too thin - a little noisy

Could have done with a drying room. We understand it’s an eco lodge, and that’s great, but when it’s blowing a hoolie or wet for a few days, the Sheiling tent wasn’t a great alternative!

Really comfortable space - great views over the water. Kitchen very well equipped and bedrooms comfy and quiet spaces. Really good location and super quiet at night. The one clear night we had, the stars were amazing too.

Don’t think I saw any staff. No one introduced themselves. Didn’t use the kitchen, lounge area as when I arrived it was occupied by a large group cooking a meal and I wasn’t made welcome. They ignored me completely. Walls in bedrooms are very thin and was disturbed every night but one by people in the next room talking loudly and using the shower late at night and again early morning.

Room was clean and comfortable with loads of towels. Comfy bed and view of garden no curtains so woken as the sun came up. Showers were downstairs . Next time I would ask for a downstairs room as I have mobility problems.

I did notice some dust and cobwebs in the kitchen around the cornices and the light bulbs. I noticed a small amount of mould in the ensuite bathroom on the back left-hand side of the wall.

The lodge is in a beautiful location close to Tobermory. Our twin room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The kitchen area and lounge is very organised and has everything you need. Very good value for money. I would definitely stay here again!

Our room was above the lounge which had some stunning views but was very noisy in the evening with guests directly below in the lounge. Otherwise a great stay.

We loved having a family room with two adjoining spaces. Well equipped kitchen area. Beautiful views.

Our bedroom was facing the drive and didn't seem to catch any sun. It felt a bit damp, probably not helped by the bathroom not having a window and the extractor only coming on when the light was switched on. We did our best to regularly air the room, put the heater on and leave the bathroom light on to keep the extractor working after a shower, but not everybody does this I guess. The mattress wasn't very comfortable, and the little green light on the smoke alarm that was placed right above my bed was very bright. Also the walls and doors to the corridor seem very thin, so noise travels easily. I didn't sleep well at all all three nights we stayed, but I am a light sleeper anyway and my room mate managed to sleep fine.

The location is great. Very convenient for exploring the island, and the view from the communal room, kitchen and garden is stunning. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, so was the kitchen and communal room. The kitchen is very well equipped. The staff we spoke to were very friendly and helpful, and there was a nice vibe in the communal area. The pricing seems very reasonable, compared to other accommodation on the island.

Pillows were rather flat, and some corners could do with dusting and cobwebs removed, plus behind our door, in the bathroom there was a hole. The biggest disappointment was the WiFi. I had nothing to tell me any password, so I had to use my own data,and my message wasn't replied to when I asked about it. And when another resident did show us, it didn't really work properly it just keeps spinning Could do with more info on food places and we're to buy shopping perhaps buying from locals. Bins in the room could do with being emptied in the bedroom.

The scenery was amazing.The kitchen and lounge were great not only for cooking and relaxing but also for meeting new people and sharing knowledge of Mull and where to go. The bedroom was really nice and cosy. The shower was fabulous.

Very small room (room 6), shower is one floor lower... noise at night from a boiler? heater?, which was installed in a cupboard opposite our room, the walls are thin, you can hear the other guests talking, snoring, etc.

Just the thin walls.

The lodge was fab, my room had a shower and toilet and all the facilities I needed, like a few other people have said the walls are very thin so heard people talking in their rooms but wasn’t a major issue.

We stayed at Arle Lodge initially for 2 nights. Our car then broke down and we needed a week's accommodation at short notice. The staff were brilliant and managed to squeeze us in - we joked that we had been in almost every room by the time we left! But this aside, it is a really enjoyable and friendly place to stay; the view over the Sound of Mull is lovely, the rooms are simply furnished and not all are en-suite but everything is really clean and extremely well managed. There is a large open plan kitchen with dining tables and a sitting area (with TV) so you can self cater, and it's a real hub for meeting and chatting to other guests, as well as a comfortable place to hang out on a rainy day. There's also a garden with BBQ facilities and picnic tables. We met many interesting people of all ages and several nationalities and swapped travel stories and tips on what to see and do on Mull. I'm sure we'll return next time we visit the beautiful isle of Mull.

Bed mattress was a little too soft/light and bouncy. Two chairs and a small coffee table in the room would be nice too.

Really good kitchen facilities and Tina was really friendly. Not far from Tobermory was handy and it was easy to find being just off the main road.

The shower door leaked and flooded the bathroom if the shower head was pointed in the wrong direction.

Shared kitchen facilities and fridge so we could make our own breakfast in the mornings. Handy location to Tobermory and the ferry.

The walls are thin & if you're a light sleeper, i'd definitely take some ear plugs/ muffs. I took ear plugs & slept well.

The host was pleasant, the views are simply stunning & the adjoining land had little black lambs jumping around most days. Tobermory is a nice drive from Arle Lodge. Hopefully i'll return soon.

That our neighbour was so disturbed by the noise of our shower she came and asked if the noise would be going on all night.

We stayed in room 2, which we were quite happy with. We had no noise issues and our own shower room. The room was clean and comfortable for us. There were other guests of various nationalities with whom we shared the kitchen facilities. This worked really well as everyone was courteous and cleaned up after themselves. We would stay again
