눉The place was a little shabby: peeling paint, cheap laminate flooring that was curling. But they were clearly doing some work on the place so they are trying to improve it.
눇Friendly, helpful staff. Great location. Nice fixtures in the bath but small.

눉I'm a sales executive for a food company and I booked this hotel on the 20th of October as the Hilton Hotel (just across the street was fully booked and I had to say as close to Paddington Station as I could). My experience was disastrous and I should have seen it coming when I noticed that the "T" from Ascot was missing on the roof top sign (ASCO), which translate in Spanish to Disgusting. The hotel was in bad condition and the mould has started to take over the entrance roof. There was dust everywhere and my bed made me itchy the entire night. I can deal with dirt ok but what really made my heart sank in sadness was the lack of integrity the dodgy staff showed. When I checking I was asked to pay upfront, unfortunately I left my business credit card in the office, which meant that I would have to paid with my money and be left out of pocket. I asked the receptionist (A misogynist foreigner who could barely speak English) if He could pre authorised payment first with my personal card and then I would have get our office manager to contact the hotel and pay over the phone, he agreed and I left. Next morning, I was experiencing problems with my card and I contacted the bank and I found that the hotel had charged for my stay regardless of what I had just asked a few hours ago. In other words, the receptionist wiped his bottom with my request, which I found incredibly disrespectful. I called from Waterloo Station incredibly angry and made them aware of my finding. The worst part of the story is when I try to check out and they completely denied having charged me with the stay, they asked me to proceed with payment having already Collect payment with the pre-authorisation I gave them. Thankfully at 5.00 in the morning my bank was happy to assist me And advised me to not pay anything else. What turned out to be even worst was the loud F9ck 0ff! The receptionist gave me! This hotel should be shut down!
