Room was extremely small. But ok for two nights. Food was ok-ish. Not what I would go for. Breakfast buffet was not filled frequently and the coffee was the poorest experience I had for a long time. Seems Ashorne Hill needs to save coffee beans or tries to keep people away from getting a heart attack from

Bed was a bit too firm for us 2 mattresses stuck together so you could feel the central seam which dug in. However was still a wonderful room

The accommodation was basic and away from the bar and restaurant areas. There seemed to be a lot of building work around the site and some of the listed facilities such as a gym was not available during my stay.

Ate in the bar area as a full meal was not required, this was a good standard. Breakfast was a good choice of hot and cold from a self serve area.

Very minor but there was only a bedside lamp on one side of the bed and that didn't work (reported to reception in the morning as it wasn't an issue for me travelling alone) and it was a little cold in the room (I know its July and it shouldn't be!)

I do object to having service added to my bill. It's a customer's prerogative. One small issue - the bathroom in the room was very tight and I twice banged my knee on the wall opposite the toilet as I used it. The space room 008 is so tight that the spray from the flushing toilet is causing damage to the painted wall. I'm fairly short so pity anyone long of leg.

A nice location and venue with great ambiance. The restaurant was well appointed and the staff agreed to a latish booking as I'd arrived late due to poor road conditions. Thank you for this

Terrible service in the restaurant. Had to repeatedly ask for the same drinks at dinner and breakfast - almost became a joke! Both times we had to ask to order drinks as none were offered.

The breakfast time finished at 8:45am And we had to vacate the room by 9:30am We had been at a late night wedding the night before, so to get up for an early breakfast, not a relaxing night away and a lie in. We had to set an alarm!! 😴

Restaurant menu not on display prior to booking so unable to see what is on offer. A staff member did get details after a while but there were no prices on it. Shower over bath needed updating as overhead not powerful and hard to turn on. Bath also very slippery and water slow to drain , unable to lift plug up higher Breakfast adequate but not many options for vegan/vegetarian.

A mix-up over one of our rooms. But this was resolved when an upgraded room was provided.. an information sheet should have been provided as the hotel site comprises several buildings.

Location is lovely and in open countryside. The dining area is very modern and clean, and a coffee and tea bar is available for free. Breakfast was very good .the price for our stay was very reasonable..

The buffet breakfast had a great selection but was continually running on empty and very slow to replenish. What we did have was nice.
