we booked to use the pool, but before booking it was advertised that the pool closes early, otherwise we would have booked closer to where we needed to be.

I would have expected more luxury from an expensive hotel like a box of tissues, choice of pillows (way too firm for me) and not even a down option,, just synthetic. I would expect more than 2 tea bags, and decaf options, eg mint tea.the room was also very hot snd it was not possible to adjust the temperature. Also, attention to detail as the sealant is coming off the bath and watwr will be gushing down the back of it.

Attentive staff, nice enough room,, fabulous large bath. Dustant view of Cairngorms was nice. Direct view of a room roof underneath. The gym, sauna ans jacuzzi was really good and indoor pool, but a pool party for kids. So we had to wait an hour. Breakfast was amazing, good choices, including veggie .

Too hot. Turned down heaters and opened windows - but room roasting. The bathroom heater couldn’t be adjusted.

Bed uncomfortable, and the pool was a little bit cold, other bathers said it had been warmer the day before.

Loved the room with accessibility shower, bed a litte uncomfortable possibly as 2 beds put together. Food was amazing. Plenty of choice at breakfast, and evening dinner superb.Pool and changing areas are spotless, and very well equipped. Plenty of lockers ,showers etc.

A comfortable hotel but if you can't manage stairs, check there's a lift to your room.

Since booking I'd developed a bad back so couldn't lift suitcases. Of course the hotel didn't know this and booked us into a second-floor room (or maybe 1st floor) but there was no lift. So we paid £20 extra for a de-luxe room to which there was a lift. Reading the hotel blurb later we find they actually offer to carry bags up for you, but that wasn't offered by reception when we checked in. So I feel we paid an extra £20 we needn't have.

    Very comfortable and convenient.

Thought we were getting B&B but booking deceiving, so we had to go out for breakfast. Also when we arrived we wanted a snack but person behind bar couldn’t accommodate us as there was a wedding on and it was busy and couldn’t leave the bar!

Room was nice size and comfortable.

Part of a wedding party, and the staff did everything possible to make it a great success. Rooms were spacious and spotless. Bar and restaurant were good and prices were reasonable. Didn't have time to sample spa, but looked well kept and modern facilities. Gardens provided a lovely backdrop for photographs. All in all great stay.

We struggled to find Balgeddie House after a 270 mile car journey because the postcode quoted was wrong. Hence we landed in a housing development around a mile away from our intended destination. A phone call to the hotel gave us a corrected postcode and on arrival, we learned that the wrongly quoted one had not been in use…”for about ten years”!! This clearly needs to be addressed by Best Western management but thankfully, it didn’t spoil our overnight stay.

Dinner the night we arrived and breakfast the following morning were both of good quality and value for money.

Constructive criticism: our room had something like a smoke detector/fire alarm on the ceiling above the bed, which had a green light that kept flashing all night and disturbed us. And at 6am a whole load of noise started. Not sure if it was because we were above/near the leisure centre/spa.

All the staff were absolutely terrific. Helpful, friendly and lovely team. Food was super too. Really enjoyed our stay.

A hot tub would have been nice The ambience in the bar and lounge area was dull and old-fashioned. OK in the daytime for emailing or working, but not very attractive in the evening when having a premeal or post prandial drink

    Convenience for Fife. Spa

Our room was fine, very clean with comfortable beds although the pop up bed for our son did feel a little like it was stuck in the corridor. It was fine though. We had our own door in to the gardens at the back which was nice. The room was quite cool on arrival but an additional radiator had been provided and it warmed up really quickly. The pool was great too. We didn’t eat at the hotel, we used the Vintage Inn nearby so really can only rate the room and pool.
