Room service turned up cold and very overpriced for the items, compared with ordering in the restaurant.

A 5* spa resort it is not . It’s a very nice hotel with a pool and spa facilities. If you’re looking for the “5* spa experience” then in my opinion this falls short of that . No beer on tap ? What’s that all about . The bar felt a bit makeshift knocked up in a nicely decorated room .

Liked the hotel and grounds , left the hotel feeling relaxed and rested , location was good but uphill from the town , this should be considered if walking back . A taxi was £7 . Electric scooters for 2 was similar price .

Reception was not good. We had to wait till half 3( I think) then everyone was there at the same time, so the queue was long. A staggered or self service reception would help. Staff therefore had to be quick, and had less time for individuals. We used the swimming pool, which was good, clean, warm: it is used by local people so there were quite a few children at teatime, and there were no beds around the pool, as every bed had a towel on it: there were more towels on beds than folk in the pool.

The room was large, well appointed, quiet, well furnished. All the breakfast staff were very welcoming, happy to help in any way. Breakfast was good.

The dinner menu was limited in choice.

Hotel was clean, well maintained, staff were friendly and helpful and the location was quiet and convenient to the city centre. Hotel grounds were well tended and parking was good with more than enough spaces.

The e mail offering an upgrade before the visit for dinner was no upgrade at all. Confusing Wording makes out a £30 meal in the restaurant on dinner, no it’s if you pay £30 then £30 is taken off your bill! So completely pointless and not a good deal!

The location was amazing, just a short walk to get into Bath city centre but also fair completely away from the city. Lovely staff. Amazing spa and treatments

We had trouble locating the hotel as the road had been closed off yet no instructions were sent by the hotel. After attempting to find it, we called the hotel who directed us but as they knew the road was closed an email with an alternate route would have been helpful

the main restaurant/breakfast area needs to be renovated. The breakfast itself was not good and one of the ladies did not have strong customer service skills. It did not feel like a 5 star experience although it was good value for money.

Loved the outdoor heated pool. Really enjoyed the massage and facial. There are really nice areas downstairs to have a drink. Most of the staff were excellent.

I thought the checkout should be 12, so you could use the spa facilities in the morning. The spa was a little disappointing the decor is really in need of updating and a good paint. The outside pool looks really shabby.The changing rooms are quite small and are in need of updating.

The rooms were very comfortable and really clean..The Internet was great. Lovely bathroom. Lovely view of the grounds, which are really nice. The staff were very friendly.The breakfast was great with lots of variety.

In one of the breakfast mornings we had dirt on the milk jug. I have attached picture. Once, as I was to wrap myself with the towel in the bathroom, I saw large spider on it. There was some dirt on the windows. I have attached picture. The reception lady with the red hair seemed to enjoy queueing people. We had to check-in and check-out with her, and both times we had to wait long time. Both times, second receptionist showed up when we were already with the red-haired lady.

The room was with very good size. The view from the two windows was very nice. The bed was king size and very comfortable. The bathroom was lovely - all in marble and plenty of mirrors. The bath tube was large and I really enjoyed it. The breakfast was very nice and there was very good choice of food. The staff there were smiling, welcoming and helpful. The area in front of the hotel is like a lovely mini park. We had joyful time there. The SPA was great. We enjoyed the fact that there is no need of bookings and operates on walk-in. The water was lovely. The outside pool is a bit outdated, but we had great time in the SPA. I would definitely come back to this hotel because of the SPA.
