We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThe e mail offering an upgrade before the visit for dinner was no upgrade at all. Confusing Wording makes out a £30 meal in the restaurant on dinner, no it’s if you pay £30 then £30 is taken off your bill! So completely pointless and not a good deal!
The location was amazing, just a short walk to get into Bath city centre but also fair completely away from the city. Lovely staff. Amazing spa and treatments

United Kingdomthe main restaurant/breakfast area needs to be renovated. The breakfast itself was not good and one of the ladies did not have strong customer service skills. It did not feel like a 5 star experience although it was good value for money.
Loved the outdoor heated pool. Really enjoyed the massage and facial. There are really nice areas downstairs to have a drink. Most of the staff were excellent.

United KingdomI thought the checkout should be 12, so you could use the spa facilities in the morning. The spa was a little disappointing the decor is really in need of updating and a good paint. The outside pool looks really shabby.The changing rooms are quite small and are in need of updating.
The rooms were very comfortable and really clean..The Internet was great. Lovely bathroom. Lovely view of the grounds, which are really nice. The staff were very friendly.The breakfast was great with lots of variety.

United KingdomIn one of the breakfast mornings we had dirt on the milk jug. I have attached picture. Once, as I was to wrap myself with the towel in the bathroom, I saw large spider on it. There was some dirt on the windows. I have attached picture. The reception lady with the red hair seemed to enjoy queueing people. We had to check-in and check-out with her, and both times we had to wait long time. Both times, second receptionist showed up when we were already with the red-haired lady.
The room was with very good size. The view from the two windows was very nice. The bed was king size and very comfortable. The bathroom was lovely - all in marble and plenty of mirrors. The bath tube was large and I really enjoyed it. The breakfast was very nice and there was very good choice of food. The staff there were smiling, welcoming and helpful. The area in front of the hotel is like a lovely mini park. We had joyful time there. The SPA was great. We enjoyed the fact that there is no need of bookings and operates on walk-in. The water was lovely. The outside pool is a bit outdated, but we had great time in the SPA. I would definitely come back to this hotel because of the SPA.

United KingdomOur stay was for a special occasion, big birthday. We dined in the hotel, wine list was good but one of the main meals arrived cold. As it was late evening we only mentioned it when asked but it was not a good experience, we travel a great deal and out of all the Macdonald hotels we have stayed it this was by far the worst experience todate

My husband stood outside on the balcony with the hairdryer until it stopped smoking!! I waited around in reception and I found a man who was helpful and who got me another hairdryer.
