We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThe beds were very hard but that obviously can’t be helped. I didn’t like that the cleaning staff try to enter rooms despite ‘do not disturb’ signs hung on the door and did make reception staff aware of this. Parking on the seafront can be very expensive so best to factor this into the cost of your trip.
The hotel is located well for the beach and is right opposite the pier. Rooms are a nice size and the sea views were lovely.

United KingdomVery dated interiors, although in good condition (where do they get new 90s furnishings?). Our room had a view over beach right by the pier, which was very noisy late into the night, disrupting my partner’s sleep. Added to this, the bed was a bit small - more like a 3/4 than a full double, so bit is a squeeze. The hotel felt over-heated and the room itself was very warm; we were given a fan after requesting one but it would have been nicer if one had been in the room when we arrived.
Booked very last minute for impromptu weekend away. Good location right on the beach. The room was a reasonable size and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Sandown itself is very sad and faded, with lots of decaying, burnt out hotels; however, we did manage to find two lovely places for supper (The Bandstand) and breakfast (Fins) within east walking distance of the hotel.

I liked a lot of things, like the Sun Lounge in the hotel, and the long sandy beach as well as the pier. I didn't need the shuttle taxi to get to the bus stop for wider travel around the island, just walk along the beach front road in the sunny weather.
