Our room was above the kitchen area and an extractor fan was rather noisy most of the day , until the kitchen closed in the evening. The food was high quality, but a little pricey for a long stay. However, there are numerous cheaper places to eat in town.

Plenty of free parking. Big choice of breakfast options. Evening meals were quickly prepared and delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and kept well stocked with tea and coffee facilities.

The TV reception was quite poor. Not sure what the issue was. Whilst annoying it did not spoil our stay.

Central position. Level walk to shops and the river. Directly opposite the Abbey.

No clue how to get the shower soap off the too higher hook when using the bath. The water for the kettle needs a separate water filter, to stop the antiseptic taste.,not too pleasant when having black coffee ,only 1 biscuit supplied a tad lacking.floorboards by bed need fixing in room 18.bu still a good stay.

Breakfast was superb. My whims were catered for.the guy in the breakfast hall was great.

Nothing really. Everything met our expectations, we would definitely book again and have recommended it to family and friends.

The food was excellent, plenty of choice and good quality. Served with a smile by courteous attentive staff. Couldn't fault it. The central location of the hotel made it easy to get to, parking was good and convenient. The receptionist was very knowledgeable about the history of the hotel, the Abbey and Tewksbury in general.

Went for a continental breakfast option around 9.00 and found that some of the items needed replenishing, but overall I would be happy to stay here again

Loved the location and the staff were excellent. Its an old building so it can be a little bit quirky but I think it all adds to the charm. Tewkesbury is a lovely area and wish I could have stayed a bit longer.

Not a dislike but beware they lock up shop at 9.30pm! I was very nearly caught out - but they hung on for me. A sign of the post-pandemic times but a problem if, like me, you travel from afar

Beautiful old hotel building. Great breakfast and fantastic location, opposite the cathedral

The bar of the pub was advertised to be open until 11 but they asked us to finish our drinks at 10 as they wanted to close. In fairness we were the only people in there, so didn’t mind going up to our room.

Location with free parking was very good. Nice friendly staff in restaurant and reception area.

Unfortunately there was scaffolding all over exterior which spoiled appearance and bi blind/curtains on our bathroom window so felt exposed with scaffolding directly outside windows.

The old hotel car park now seems to be a public parking area so there were no spaces available when we arrived. We did get in eventually and were given parking permits but I think there should be allocated spaces for the hotel.

Excellent staff, very helpful and friendly. Greeted everyone with smiles and seemed to really enjoy their work, couldn't fault them! Both Evening meals and Breakfasts were superb. Have stayed here a couple of times before but many years ago before I became seriously ill. Glad to be back! (also nice to see Dogs accepted in the bar)

    Can’t think of anything

On arriving at the Bell I was given a warm welcome from Rosie who was lovely, my room was extremely comfortable and large . The menu in the bar was very varied and the steak pie was delicious. The whole visit was friendly and the staff can’t do enough to ensure your stay is memorable.
