Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Arrived early didn't expect room to be ready,manager happy to take our bags in ,he also moved his car to allow me to park ,very kind of him ,some of friends took an hour to find parking, very busy Easter weekend ,will definitely recommend and return, eventhough we have a camper van

The shower was poor and heating luke warm in bedroom ,tv was size of a postage stamp .it was really hard to get hold of someone
Location spot on .the couple who run it were really friendly and not strict with checkout times .did me a deal on staying extra night which was good .

A b&b with no breakfast means no staff around to help at times Luckily moved car when it was blocked in by another guest - park on street if you want to use your vehicle during your stay

Comfortable with everything needed for a short break. We particularly liked it that the host left us to it and didn’t attempt to fuss over us. Short walk to the centre and very convenient.

It was a shame that there was no shower gel it is something that all hotels provide nowadays.
good sized room with very comfortable bed. tea coffee facilities in room. on road parking and small drive parking i assume first come first served.

Nothing to dislike other than perhaps I wish I'd included breakfast, but that was my fault.
Comfortable bed, pleasing room. Very quiet as it was set back slightly from main road. Literally about 5 minutes walk from the main part of the town, so very convenient.

Although there was the advertised parking, it's a bit tight - basically it's first come, first served on the small drive with maybe room for 3 cars. I didn't trust my old car's handbrake on the steep slope! There is some nearby on road parking if you're lucky, or a long stay a short walk away (around £9/day when we stayed).
We had the "loft" room, which was lovely, clean and bright. The bed was extremely comfortable, though for reasons of space there is a clothes rail rather than a wardrobe. The bathroom was larger than our home one, but the slope of the roof means it only has a (very nice) handheld shower The property is only a few minutes walk from the centre of the town; a great location.

Parking was a bit of a faf. Very steep driveway with not much room.
Huge bed, very soft and comfortable. Really nice owners. They where very friendly and helpful. They gave great recommendations and helped with directions etc. Room was very private and clean as waa the bathroom. Great location a few minutes walk from town.

Brian and Vicki were amazing hosts and even accommodated us to stay an extra night. The location was brilliant, just a 5min walk to the harbour and no hills 😉 the guest house was clean and very quiet, we only really slept there as we were out all day. Prime location and very affordable. We will definitely be staying there again 😊
