눉We payed for 2 nights with breakfast included, however on the 2 nights stayed we had loud people next door keeping us awake for most of the night on both occasions forcing us to miss our breakfast twice, so not happy about paying for the breakfast no not being able to have it

눉We stayed here last year and it was great however this year when we decided to return it was a huge disappointment. Rooms: I had booked 4 twin rooms and to be sure they were twins I rang in the morning before housekeeping would have set the rooms up to confirm that was all ok - I was assured it was. When we arrived, we were told we were being 'upgraded' to executive rooms as they didn't have any twin rooms left. 'Upgraded' meaning a room with a king size bed and a sofa bed. Some of the sofa beds were ok but some were so uncomfortable (even after we'd requested another duvet to sleep on top of to stop the springs digging in us). Also, once the sofabeds were out, we couldn't get to the coffee making facilities or fridge without folding the bed up again! I wish i could say the kingsize was comfy but it was so firm I ended up lining the pillows up on it to sleep on! We booked this months ago, so it is not like it was a last minute thing and were told it was Booking.com's fault for not telling them - even thought it was extremely clear on our confirmation documents. Restaurant: Very little choice and very expensive, but unlike our last experience where we were happy as the food was good, the service was dreadful and at best the food was mediocre. My steak was definitely not medium rare (it was more medium to well done!) but when I complained I was told I was wrong and the chef has a temperature thing so he knows when its cooked right, so it must be right. We were charged for wine we'd not ordered, we asked for an itemised bill but that turned into a farce (long story) and we were charged a service charge that was not 'optional'! Parking: Now, the icing on the cake - you are charged £13 a day for each car (I'm absolutely certain we didn't pay this last time but I was told we must have as its never changed).
눇The pool, jacuzzi, gym and steam room are all lovely and breakfast is good (although still overpriced)

눉The beds were not comfortable and neither of us slept well. The room was pleasant and the en suite a good size but to be honest, it didn't feel very special for the money paid.
눇Helpful, friendly staff; pool facilities were good; breakfast excellent with a chef cooking omelettes to order; although centrally located there was no road noise in the hotel.
