The weather was terrible, but it's Scotland.

Room was very comfortable and elegant, with a perfect view of the park out front. Bed was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious, and the bar/restaurant area staff were outstanding throughout. The concierge/valet service was second to none, easily the friendliest and most helpful service that I've ever experienced.

I wish they had free parking available, or at least with a reasonable charge. Also, having specific timings for hotel guests to use the spa facilities, as part of their stay, made it too busy and crowded at the spa. Finally, the showers in the men's changing room need some more frequent replenishing and maintenance.

I stayed recently for two nights in a deluxe twin room and found it to be a really relaxing and luxury experience. The room was clean and comfortable, with great features - floor to ceiling windows with a view of the city, a mini fridge, safe, two comfy chairs, a flat-screen TV and a lovely bathroom with separate shower and bath. We also had breakfast, which was so delicious. We took something from the hot buffet, cold buffet and a dish from the kitchen one morning, which is included in the price. Everything tasted so fresh. Fantastic. The highlight of our stay, though, was the spa facilities (which are free to use for guests between 7:30-9:30am and 5-8pm). The pools were so warm and relaxing, especially the dark pool (Coll), with jets of water being blasted out from the pool floor. I loved that. Great hydro pool too, along with the two saunas, salt room and steam room. The snow shower was an unexpected bonus too. Every part of the spa was just spotless, including the dressing room. Every member of staff we met couldn’t have been friendlier or more pleasant. They went above and beyond for us, helping in any way they could with anything. We were even invited down to the hotel lobby for complementary wine between 4 and 5pm, which was a really nice gesture to guests. Everything was as I hoped it to be and more. Kimpton Blythswood is a fantastic and gorgeous hotel - we loved it in just about every way, and we will be returning to stay very soon.

Nothing, genuinely a faultless stay.

Beautiful hotel and stunning spa, but the staff really outshine it all. The reception staff and evening porter were all very polite and friendly and the gentleman on the door who assisted with bags etc was an absolute delight. So helpful and very accommodating in helping us with parking and sorting us a drink on arrival at the social hour. Been to blythswood many times before and will keep coming back as it’s a bliss retreat. Rooms are exceptionally comfortable and well equipped.

Having to dress in our robe and wait at elevator while others was ready for social event or dinner I would have liked stairs to avoid other geusts that’s just me with social anxiety
