Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The restaurant staff were hopeless (although did try their best, were very friendly and kind) where food intolerances were concerned, and the kitchen staff must be aware of cross contamination of gluten in fryers at all times! Having navigated dinner i decided to give breakfast a miss.
The welcome at reception was very good. The room was quite large , clean and the bed reasonably comfortable for one night. The shower room was quite small in comparison with the size of the bedroom but adequate and it did have a good magnifying mirror.

Very loud noise of the boiler coming on at 6 in the morning every morning, and very loud cleaner outside our room at 7am.

Just a couple of small things but none of which spoiled my stay. If staying for a few days a small fridge would be very handy. Also there was no proper space for clothes, just a very small wardrobe with a couple of coat hangers.
1st time that I have stayed here. A very nice hotel located just on the edge of town, about a 15 minute walk from the train station. I stayed in a double room which was adequate for my needs for 1 night. Very comfy bed and a great shower. Breakfast was very good, hot and cold self service with plenty of choices. I would certainly stay here again in the future. If you get the opportunity try and take a peek into the old church area, located to the right hand side of reception, it really is quite amazing!

there was no toilet paper and they had to give us tissues to solve this issue! However, the staff were great and went looking for solutions to the problem. Staff also found decaffeinated tea.

No WiFi and had to pay for parking (which was only a fiver so not too bad)
Comfy beds, quiet, not too hot (like some are!). Staff were so lovely, made us feel very welcome. We will be back!!

The bed was lumpy, they wanted to charge £5 delivery fee for room service and the shower pipe in my room was leaking which reduced the shower pressure

The room was way too hot! The AC was on as high as it could be but it was a very uncomfortable night and I didn’t get much sleep. I am usually a cold person so it’s rare that I’m too warm. I assume it may be because I was on the top floor but it’s a shame that I got such little sleep as I was there for a competition and it was important to me.
Friendly staff and great facilities. Location was perfect for me and would stay again.

The cord on the blind was broken so once we had pulled the blind down at night we couldn't raise it again in the morning. The room was nice and warm but the only duvet was quite thick and thus we were way too hot during the night.
Lovely check-in with Lucy. Good to have on-site car park. The bed was very comfy and the pillows nice and soft, which is unusual for Holiday Inn! The hotel was very easy to find, just off the main road. The most noticeable feature was how incredibly clean the whole place was.

The window of Room 129 was partly blocked by a unit outside, making the room dark. The room was not cleaned on the 7th. March, the mugs not washed, and the towels changed. The shower drain was sluggish, but was cleaned, following my complaint.
Convenient for Bolton Town centre, and for my son to collect me.
