Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room was much smaller than anticipated for two people and really, really needed black out curtains or blinds and blinds at bathroom room window as though not overlooked window was huge. The TV lost its signal from our return in the evening until our departure.
The location was perfect for our visit to The Assembly.

No drawer space for clothes etc, heating in the corridors was far too hot. Had problems with the booking saying I hadn’t paid for breakfast for 3 of us, even though the email confirmation which I showed the receptionist confirmed I had. Didn’t like this was dealt with in front of other guests in the dining room.
Good location, very clean, rooms ok.

The room was very small and very hot and smelt a little. But once we opened the window and turned the radiator off it was ok. I thought it was a little expensive for such a small room and nothing fancy. Breakfast was good and staff were pleasant. Good central location.

Bathroom window is bolted shut and there is no extractor fan so it gets pretty stuffy in the shower/toilet.
Convenient walkable location near town, convenient store and pharmacy; late check in really helped, big comfortable bed, USB wall chargers

Room had clearly been smoked in before (smell and cigarette ash on window sill) although not the hotels fault they could’ve done more to cover up the smell

The area where the rooms are in the building is old so navigating the little steps and sub landings and fire doors is a pain in the luggage. The shower/bathroom is modern and recently renovated but on the drainage capability is not enough to take through water away so the shallow base fills up quickly. It’s an old building so the upstairs guests can be clearly heard moving around.
There were rooms available when I made a reservation. The heated towel rack. There are plenty of Ubers available to take you to town.

Bed wasn't the most comfortable. Poor WiFi connnection.
Hotel is in quiet location with car park (and free street parking). Very clean room. Friendly staff. Well heated on a cold weekend.

Our room, 31, was quite noisy with it being at the top of the stairs, near the fire door. The floor boards creaked every time people went past. The bed wasn’t comfortable. The bathroom mirror was far too high, unless you are about 6 feet tall!!

The price of the breakfast wasn't included in our booked room -was originally but on taking a booking. Com genius offer the breakfast was taken off without me realising so ended up paying for 2 breakfast on arrival- I certainly won't be upgrading a room next time - the upgraded room although bigger wasn't worth the extra cost for the meals -last time we stayed the small double room with breakfast was more than adequate for our stay - the upgraded room also needed a refurbishment as there had obviously been a roof leak leaving an area that needed painting and wallpaper that needed re-sticking -in fact the room was a little tired
Breakfast was a good selection-although some needed to be hotter -the choice of cereals were good -would have liked to see other flavours other than strawberry yoghurt - breads plenty available-though no sourdough -honey available is nice

Sink plug not working, WiFi hard to connect to in room, changed rooms and radiator noisy and hissing and shower room door squeeked. Manager addressed all the issues, but it was annoying to have such issues on a 4 day weekend break.
Great Location, lovely staff, good size room and smart shower room.
