I was with my elderly mother 89 so with no lift and room 326 we only went in and out once a day. Too many stairs

Stayed 6 nights, bed was good. But by the end of my stay, I noticed the bed was a little soft (but that is personal preference)

The staff were friendly and helpful, the location was great, 30sec walk to the bus stop and the bus takes you right into the hustle and brussel about 25min bus ride.room is spacious and loved the king bed with tv inside.

I stayed in this hotel about 50 years ago when my family first moved to Edinburgh. My nephews were staying overnight - I popped up to the room. A little tired but very comfortable and a very good price. Very handy for bus stop into Edinburgh plus carpark. Friendly bar and staff.

Food options were very basic. Nothing to write home about. We wanted to stay in and have a cosy dinner, warm and dry from the horrendous weather but there was little on the menu that wasn't pub food, so we went to a lovely Italian place close by. Breakfast too was nothing special. Edinburgh has a great food culture but sadly this hotel doesn't live up to it.

Great location, lovely old hotel with lots of character, easy transport links. Good value for money and the room was very comfortable.

The hotel is on a hill so access by car is necessary if you have mobility issues. Also, there is no lift access in the hotel - however a staff member did assist by carrying my case up the stairs.

I really enjoyed my stay at Braids Hill hotel, the hotel was clean, staff were helpful and views from my room were great. I loved my hotel room, it was spacious, clean and the 4 poster bed was 'princess like' and very comfortable. Great choices of bakeries, cafes, shops nearby and the local area is served by a selection of reliable buses into Edinburgh City.

Well… the journey to the chosen location was unpleasant. I couldn’t book a taxi. I ended up catching the 11 bus route, I had no idea there was an N11 bus route as well. Thank you for letting me stay there for the duration of my stay though.

Fantastic. There was a variety of local delicacies to choose from. I was very impressed with the layout and format of the architectural design inside.
