Absolutely nothing can't fault it.

Cooked breakfast was lovely plenty of choice and served nice and hot. We were in one of the garden rooms which was really cosy and the gardens were well maintained and lit up at night. We were able to sit early evening in the conservatory overlooking the garden with a glass of wine after a busy day sightseeing in and around this beautiful area. Would definitely go back and highly recommend this place.

If I'm being critical (which I have to be for an honest review) the parts with the lowest marks were: Facilities and Location. I must start by saying that both were perfectly adequate for my needs! The only thing I might say to people travelling is that there is no bar on site. This wasn't an issue for me and not something I'd necessarily look for, however I was telling a mate about the hotel and he asked if it had a bar so I appreciate that is important to some. Likewise, location was spot on for me as I was fishing the Belmont stretch from early till late. However, the hotel isn't central so for those wanting to wander off to find pubs and restaurants etc, this isn't really feasible by foot. It's literally a five minute drive to the big Asda so not far from the town centre at all if you're wanting to taxi into town.

My second stay here in as many months. After the first visit I didn't even bother to shop around as I knew I wanted to stay here again. The staff are so friendly and the hotel looks exceptionally clean, the room was tidied every day which included beds being made, supplies being restocked and the room vacuumed. Monique (the owner) remembered me from my last stay and it was nice to chat and catch up. The breakfast was brilliant again, good options and sensible sizes.

Although it wasn't a problem, the car park was a little on the small side and could possibly fill up if fully booked. I was one of three cars when I checked in late afternoon, I popped out for food and came back about 6pm and nabbed the last space. It wasn't a problem but the only thing that I can think of that might have been. I'm also not a fan of fixed shower heads which are quite low as I'm tall. Again, only a minor gripe and wasn't a deal breaker by any stretch, I'm just trying to find things to be critical of as per the question heading this part of the review.

The owner greeted me at the door and was very pleasant and friendly. We had a good conversation and it turns out she had also upgraded me as she'd had a last minute cancellation which was a bonus for me! The property itself was lovely, well looked after with excellent decorations and the room was beautiful.
