Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing! It was all perfect!
A very welcoming family friendly bed and breakfast on the outskirts of Ross on Wye in a period property with wonderful views of the River Wye and just a short walk into the characterful town. The most amazing breakfast was served each day along with additional milk and help throughout our stay, when requested. Plenty of space inside and out for guests along with a well-stocked honesty bar in the lounge.

United KingdomI can't say there was anything we didn't like.
The position was ideal. The room was very comfortable. We had the best nights sleep for a long time. The bathroom was lovely, especially the roĺl top bath. The 4 poster was so comfortable. The view from our window of the river and the church spire in the background. Breakfast was to die for.. I had a muffin topped with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on the top. Superb. My husband had Bacon,Scrambled eggs, tomatoes, & mushroom.. Lovely. Toast, yoghurt & green tea all superb. Checkout was good and efficient, everything was explanned. We had two must haves to try this holiday. We wanted EV charging on site that was a plus. Up to now we have always done self catering with our Dog, but wanted to try a hotel. Our Dog was accepted well, she was very good. She slept all night after her last pee run. She didn't make any noise and loved the breakfast room with views onto the field and the river beyond she saw a squirrel and lots of birds. Will deffinately come again. Hosts were great.

United KingdomThere is nothing not to like about the Bridge House. It is simply fantastic
The Bridge house is the best place to stay in Ross on Wye. We have been three times now and we could not have had a better experience. The rooms are immaculate and the hosts could not be more welcoming. Breakfast is amazing and the hospitality is phenomenal. I would recommend a stay here to anybody. There are so many picturesque walks around and some great places to dine out in the town. Thank you for having us and we will undoubtedly be back again soon.

United KingdomSadly, the weather! There is nothing else to dislike about the Bridge House, or Ross on Wye to be perfectly honest.
The Bridge House is delightful. The owners have made a number of improvements to the original building and it all works very well. We used the library/sitting room a lot. The breakfasts were to die for.

United KingdomMore hanging space in the bathroom, also hadn't appreciated there was only a shower attachment to the bath. Our fault for not checking the room details properly. Hooks on the back of the door for coats would have been useful, although we appreciate there's plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe. When turning over in bed, the whole mattress moved, waking us up.
Beautiful property, excellent location and a great bonus to have a separate living room downstairs that we could use. Breakfast was excellent. Everyone was charming, helpful and friendly. We appreciated the owners efforts to provide a lighter quilt. The room is very attractive and the view over the river up to Ross on Wye outstanding.
