Had to move rooms because wallpaper was too jazzy and patterned and affected my wife's vision. When we arrived we were told that the Tasting Menu was not available that weekend, which was one of the main reasons we chose the hotel.

The room was decent and the bed was comfortable. All of the staff were very helpful. The restaurant was nice and the food portion sizes were good. Main courses were excellent (especially the sirloin steak and bass chowder). The Bar staff were all very good with excellent service.

The only downside I could say is the shower had super low pressure however there were options to enjoy a bath instead.

It was super clean, comfortable and cosy. Great location and super welcoming staff. Had a great nights sleep and overall just a lovely stay.

Nothing much to say here. I'm not sure the breakfast is worth £15 but when I did have it, it was tasty. Otherwise a great stay.

The staff are fabulous. We had an issue, and they had us moved immediately. They were informative about the area and suggested good things to do. The evening food was excellent too. It is located in a peaceful area, and the grounds are great.

Dimmable lights were glitchy and the pipes were noisy from the next room.

My family and I booked a stay to celebrate our parents wedding anniversary. The hotel Manager, Paul, and all the staff members were absolutely fabulous. They arranged a private dinning room for us all and were very accommodating. The meal was superb and the service was equally fantastic. Our room was very nicely decorated, modern, clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was great with a wide variety of options to choose from.

We were a group of friends looking for a hotel we could meet up. Coming in from various parts of the UK our main criteria were comfort, nice food, friendly service, convenience for touristy things. Briery Wood did not disappoint. In fact it exceeded expectations. The rooms are spacious and feel quite luxurious. Lots of little touches make it stand out. The dinner menu (included I our rate) was not restricted- and the food was fab. Beautifully presented and tasty. Bar well stocked and a great wine list. Breakfast was a stylish and plentiful too. And the staff went out of their way to make us welcome.

Briery Wood is always lovely. The staff are helpful and friendly, efficient and seem to enjoy being at work. The hotel is clean and comfortable and we felt really well looked after. Our dog had a great time too!
