Dark and dingy. The spa and hot tubs out of action. Fair bit of damage in the room and had a security deposit 2/3 times more than I paid for the room. List long as your arm about fines if things are missing or damaged. Three flights up. Tv didn’t work.

The remote control for the television did not work. One of the hotel workers replaced the batteries in it and the TV came on, but after he left I discovered there was no aerial connected and I was not able to get any channels. The other disappointment was there being no wi-fi. I was told that the internet was "down" due to people working on the road outside, but reading other reviews it would seem that it's down all the time! I'm not able to access the internet on my phone so I was counting on being able to use it at the hotel. Although what I paid was relatively cheap for the area, I do think the management should make sure they provide what was promised in their hotel listing. I won't be returning!

The room was small but had most things I needed. The bed was comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. It was quite hot at night, but there was a fan in the room.

Believe the other reviews here: Scruffy, dirty, small (really small), stuffy. Communication is ridiculous, 15 e-mails in 2 days generally saying the same thing from them, just have a mass of information making navigating awful to find information you need. Any question you ask gets you a reply with the full FAQ each time so you have to dig through and scroll through so much unnecessary information. The online check in system didn't work the first few try's and even after completed it I didn't receive any information for access. Had to message as they didn't answer the phone. WIFI didn't work and no reply regarding any alternative access for other routers for the building. Windows filthy and grimey. Bed is very small but i didnt mind it as much the small room wasnt the worst, and kind of expected for a "budget" hotel in Brighton. For the price there should be a certain level of comfort and service provided which this hotel lacked greatly. Only really recommend if you plan to sleep and leave.

location Not too much street noise either here but still easy access to prime spots. Although you will hear a lot of corridor noise.

It's a self check in hotel which is fine but they don't change the door codes so when we walked in an old guest from months ago had accessed the room and was staying in there and was asleep on the bed! The hotel staff didn't seem surprised. I suggest you change the door codes as it wasn't acceptable and didn't feel safe. The staff did however come and change the bedding upon request

    The location was fabulous

In booking.com they didn’t mention any point about deposit. A day before checking they sent an SMS for £100 deposit and at the checking time they deducted £200 for deposit!!!

The check in process was complicated and it was awful that there was no access to a present human over there to answer questions and help. Our room wasn’t ready at the checking time, while the hotel has a policy of charging for early or late check in! So if you arrive early/late you should pay but when you arrive on time and the room is not ready …! Also shower wasn’t clean

A lot of emails and texts (rather that than nothing) but too much. Worried the whole time that I would not get th £100 deposit back as the place was already tatty. Dirty. Run down. Things were loose, missing, or did not work. Dark. Small. Window did not open. No shower curtain. Filthy, thread bare carpets. Tiny bed. Scuffed, marked, grubby walls. And I tested positive for covid when got home! (not saying it was from this hotel, could have been from anywhere, but window did not open and room was covered in thick dust)

Location. Check in was easy. Pay for parking nearby. Sheets and towels were very clean

The deposit was £100 which I think is steep given they already have your card details should you damage anything. The room was a last minute decision and you have to provide ID which you must do before check in otherwise you can’t get the details. There must be a better system surely. Our room was £73 sleeping up to 3 people in the family room which suited us. The floor had sweets on it upon coming in so clearly hadn’t been hoovered effectively, if at all. Shower was a bit lacklustre and basic though we expected that for the price. Probably would pick somewhere else to stay next time if I’m honest, but not bad if you literally just need somewhere to sleep.

Location is great, minutes to the beach and approx 10 mins to central Brighton. I liked that it was a self check in which simplified waiting around for someone to give us a key.

Parking issue. Th fact we had to walk up 3/4staircases to get to our room. The ridiculous check in requirements and messages. I’ve had at least ten! The fact there was no curtains. Two miss matched old cups but no spoon for stirring tea/coffee. Simone else’s lunch left in the fridge. Another lock on the door would have made it feel more secure.

The venue for us worked as it was a little out of town meaning it was more quiet. The bed/bedding was clean and comfortable.

Very dirty carpeting, mould in the bathroom, furniture scratched, dirty upholstery, think layer of dust everywhere. garbage on the bathroom floor, cutlery: 2 glasses, 2 cups, one large spoon and 2 knives, 2 plates one of which was found in the wardrobe. empty minibar fridge. mind blowingly difficult check in process with codes send in sporadic emails and texts, which led to tension and stress. Other guests unable to check in, spending the night on the staircases. Calling your number or texting you with no response. No sound indication what so ever, overheard the guest in the neighbouring room having sex, and it was quite uninspiring 😆the next day someone was in the room while we were not around and drank the leftovers of our wine, instead of cleaning the room or replacing the towels. The most shameless hosts and the dirtiest place I have ever stayed in.

I would never stay here again and would not recommend this place ever to anyone. The check in was a nightmare and we had to phone up in the end to receive our door codes, after trying various numbers and holding on. It should have been made very clear that you had to check in online before your stay and it was not just a preference or to avoid delays (as this was the only way to check in) as no one was on site. It was very hard to understand the lady on the telephone !!!

The room was ok, although there was not enough toilet paper or milk for the drinks and no one on site to talk or report this too,

There are no staff available to assist with anything related to the stay. Check in online and through booking.com messenger. High deposit for a room that is already battered and broken. Difficult to check in as codes are sent on the day at check in time only if you have paid deposit and uploaded ID. Many other guests not aware of this so they were stuck outside and could not access there room until much later. Door was a Yale lock that occasionally got stuck. Had to check out at 10am which seems harsh as most didn’t check in to hotel until much later! Good job we just needed somewhere to sleep after the gig.

The location was great, short 10 min walk to central Brighton and next to the beach.
