Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomDespite having a great member of staff handle our booking another staff member who was working alongside him was rude and made me quite upset which wasn’t necessary and also was rude to the other staff members in front of us. Noise in corridor also caused disruption due to fire doors slamming from other guests coming through this caused us to flinch and caused distress with the pet we was travelling with
We had an amazing front staff member, Jayrad, who was extremely friendly and handled the booking with kindness and calmness despite having some issues with the booking on the system. He fixed the issues and made us feel like ease.

United KingdomThe dated furnishings and small lobby with too many cramped queues. We were booked and paid for breakfast but our name was not on the list and this needed checking at reception.
The hotel has heritage and looks impressive in a city centre location but it is tired, needing updating and is over-priced compared to modern hotels. The room was minimal and sparse with poorly maintained fittings and fixtures. The tap in the sink was distorted and just needed a little sorting out. The breakfast was ok and had the usual contents but not real extras for the price. Grandeur in the public spaces were gorgeous and classical.

United KingdomIt was all a little “tired”? In our twin room the loo seat lid collapsed on your back when you sat down, the enamel was worn away in the sink, the shower was very basic & there was no side light or side table on one side of the bed…
Stunning Grade 2 listed building with very impressive ballroom. Excellent central location super close to the train station

United KingdomI left my £20 iPhone charger block in the room and my £20 I phone belkin charger lead in the room also and the staff claims that they couldn’t find it when house keeping would have got it. That’s the same price as the room and the fact I went back to ask if they could find it. I even got my boyfriend to go back that same day to ask to get it but they said they would call and they never did. I then came back to stay again a couple days later to ask if they had found it. How can it get lost from the house keeping. When it was plugged into the wall when i accidentally left it. I stay in this hotel every week. And I was in a rush to get back to Anglesey for work. And they couldn’t get it back to me. It’s not like I’m made of money. Could anyone please help me with this matter. I don’t even have any money to pay for another phone charger as that was a genuine apple block and a belkin charger from curry’s. Regards Chloe tobin. Other than that the hotel is amazing. The staff are very nice. I can’t fault the staff. Just unsure how honest the housekeeping are.
