Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe fact that in the description and booking process there was no mention that 90% of the hotel was booked to migrants My daughter felt very intimidated every time we went in and out as the lobby was very crowded at times and with very visible security personnel as well The breakfast and dining facilities were off and this was a big problem for our days there
The hotel itself was ok: room’s reasonable; decor a little tatty in parts

United KingdomThere’s no hot water in the rooms and the staff keep denying it, pretending not being aware of the problem. It’s the 3rd time I’m staying in that hotel now, and at each time, there’s no hot water to even have a good shower, not to mention if you want to have a bath. The hot water only works at the sink of the bathroom but too cold from the shower hose or the mixer on the bathtub and also the water pressure is so bad. Terrible experiences when you end up showering with cold/ icy water in this winter!!!
Only the location was good for what I went for.

IrelandThe bar was closed. No place to relax and enjoy a coffee. Security Guard for refugees was a little off putting as we entered the building.
Didn't have the breakfast. £12 was too expensive.

NorwayGet the vending machine to accept credit card (not always foreign guests have UK coins in their pocket and if they cant provide it in the reception...) Not impressed. But the staff was very nice, really.
No bar, no vending machine accepting credit card, no possibility to even get a bottle of water at arrival, or candy bar. Travelling for hours from abroad I was hungry and thirsty. Good for for keeping the weight at least :)

United KingdomThe whole place looks run down. It seems to be a hotel that "boat people and asylum seekers " are housed in. There is very little access for disabled people. No bar or restaurant, no breakfast facilities. The TV remote had no batteries in it. No USB sockets. One electrical point was for a round three pin plug. Safety chain on the door had been "butchered", the door looked like someone had been trying to breakout. No shower gel in bathroom, toilet seat was rather loose. Décor was not very good. Big pile of abandoned bicycles in the carpark. I suppose for £44 a night we should have expected this.
The bed linen and towels were very good. Bed were good. Shower in bath was good. The guy on reception was very helpful with directions to a restaurant.

United KingdomWe experienced some unusual noises throughout the night, which seemed to originate from the building structure or the hotel's services. The lobby area and bar could benefit from some TLC. Additionally, the corridors and public spaces leading to the fifth floor had a noticeable cigarette odor, despite the hotel's no smoking policy. Furthermore, the male receptionist who attended to us after check-in was quite abrupt and unhelpful. It would be advisable for him to improve his appearance and professionalism. During check-in, we had requested two keys since there were two of us staying in the room. They use Yale type keys. Unfortunately, the hotel only had one key for us. Although this wasn't a major issue, we agreed to leave the key at the reception desk for easy access if either of us returned separately. However, upon returning, this male receptionist insisted on seeing my ID before providing me with the key, stating that "he didn't know me from Adam". I explained that my ID was in the room and that this requirement hadn't been mentioned during check-in. Their policy was to check IDs at check in only. This turned into an argument, and he eventually gave me the key without checking my ID. I later approached him again to clarify that there was a second person staying in the room and even if they did have an ID, it would be irrelevant as the room was booked under my name. Nevertheless, he maintained that the other person wouldn't be able to enter the room without their own identification. This suggested that, due to the hotel's single key policy for family rooms, we would need to identify ourselves each time there was a shift change. If it was indeed the hotel's policy to check IDs when returning keys, then he failed to implement it consistently. However, if this wasn't the policy, then his behavior was simply troublesome. It appears to me that the latter was the case.
Lady who checked me in - very helpful, fast and efficient. Room was fairly clean.
