Linda +Joe where just the nicest couple who made us feel at home...the welcome they showed us with bone chine tea service with yummy lemon drizzle cake on arrival was a lush start to our long bank holiday stay with them!!! The breakfast menu was fantastic and quality of ingredients was excellent. We will be coming back soon and often what a find love them to bits xxx

There wasn't anything to dislike, it was all perfect.

Everything! The room, the decor, the comfy bed, the fluffy towels, the hosts Joe and Linda were so welcoming and friendly, tea and cake on arrival, the hot tub was such a bonus, we were served prosecco in the hot tub, extra special as it was our anniversary 🥂🍾❤️

This was my third time staying at Brookside and it was wonderful as usual. Made to feel very welcome on arrival, room has everything you could need and very clean. Breakfast was good as ever. Would highly recommend.

My own preferences are for Arctic cold, and it seemed impossible to shut down the radiator to less than "very hot". An open window helped!

Lots of little details showing care and attention. I didn't use all the features on offer, and to be honest I mostly was there to sleep and have breakfast, but I did get to do some work (a deplorable lapse when.on holiday), and it was good for that too.

We estimated our arrival time but arrived a bit early. They were not in, so we had to wait outside for about 20 minutes, making us almost late for a dinner reservation.

Road outside could be very busy and noisy at times, but on a main road so to be expected really.

The choice for breakfast was most probably the best we have ever seen and catered for all taste.

I was a bit hot on my first night because the radiator was on and it took a while to cool after I switched it off. I heard the traffic on the first night also because I had to have the window open. The second night it was cooler so I kept the window closed and it was fine. They provide fans in the rooms too. I had a very comfortable single room with and external bathroom. Which was actually fine as it was just across the hall and for my personal use but if I return I will book a double with and on suite.

Hosts were very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. You can tell they both put a lot of effort into this guest house to get things right. It feels very organised with great attention to detail. It was spotlessly clean with lots of nice touches. Such as shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom, shower cap, lovely bedding and towels. Comfortable bed. I had a good sleep. Tea and coffee facilities with good quality coffee. Nice touch was the mini fridge with milk and water. Tissues on the side. Plenty of bins. Breakfasts were plentiful. All these little things make a difference. Short walk into town. Aprox 15 mins straight down at a moderate pace. No buses or taxis needed if you’re mobile. I noticed the garden but didn’t have time to sit in it. Very lovely place. Good value for money. Pity I couldn’t have stayed longer. Would definitely return.

Warm welcome from both Joe & Linda. Both very informative about Brixham and places to visit. We certainly made the most of our visit and went to some of the places they suggested and enjoyed each one. Breakfast was great and it was lovely to meet other guests and chat whilst eating. Going to town was a short walk or a two minute bus ride so perfectly situated.

To be honest and only a slight quibble, not having a toilet in my room. I only had a few steps to the en suite which was solely for me. Apart from this nothing .Excellent all round facilities and location

Everything ! the black pudding was the best, the cleanliness was the cleanest, above all the hosts Linda and Joe were superb.I have stayed at many many hotels this was right up with the best and it was a B&B !

Didn’t have a problem with any of the property, loved it.

It was the perfect location to visit Brixham. Beautiful room, very friendly staff in Linda and Joe it’s a beautiful town.
