The room was very dated and could have been warmer. The windows were running with condensation. Curtains barely fitted so privacy poor as overlooked the car park. Security could be an issue. Overpriced room in my opinion

The linen was Clean and fresh and lovely hot water. The member of staff was friendly and helpful

The hotel was very outdated definitely in need of a refurb. The facilities were very poor. The breakfast was early and wasn't offered a menu just told it was full English. The bar was very poor,

The room was just very tired looking. Bedroom furniture was tatty at best, one of the sockets didn't work and the bathroom door handle was loose. All small things that could easily be improved, but it is a big hotel, just needs a bit of tlc

We were upgraded to a Sea View room on arrival, which was nice. Location was perfect for us, with a nice pathway from the hotel down to the sea front too. Breakfast was ample

Beds mattresses had springs sticking out and carpets needed cleaning, you can smell dampness in rooms.

My knees don't work so well these days so a lift would have been nice.

I have stayed at the Marquis hotel several times when visiting Torquay. The location is very good being close to the sea front and the Princess Theatre. The manager is very friendly and helpful and I did like having a good sized waste bin in my room. The last few hotels that I have stayed in provided waste bins more suited to a dolls house.

Hotel a bit dated, coukd do with some loving care. Not that I looked for faults, but behind the side tables dirty and dusty. Room comfortable, but as said dated, plain room. Bed could do with new matress. Towels in public toilet. Lovely building, but could do with some work. Pity about the garden well lack of plants to make it welcoming

The Manager was very helpful, nothing was to much trouble for him. location was exceptional and our room was clean and tidy with a sea view.

Cooked breakfast was good but it could have been warmer. Also more choice with fruit IE there was only grapefruit and also cereals and yogurt would have been made a better choice for breakfast if you did not want the cooked breakfast which as I sad was good.

Henry was very polite, friendly and efficient also very knowledgeable on locations around Torquay.
