Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWell it won’t be forever, but there was a building site directly across the road which was very noisy when we arrived. However when we returned in the evening it was quiet and we left early the next morning- so it wasn’t really a problem for us. Also unfortunately we couldn’t get our shower to heat up in the morning.
For convenience we really liked how close it was to St Pancras/Kings Cross. We also liked the reception/bar area and although super cosy, our room was light, comfortable, clean and pleasant.

United States- noise; ongoing construction across the street (started at 8am every day). Also inconsiderate neighbors above and in the hallways. The hotel should add something to dampen the noise from or slow down the room doors; people let them slam and it's quite jarring - our mattress was sagging in the middle quite severely, should be replaced - some things didn't work in our room, like a lamp (missing bulb) and the towel warmer - room got REALLY hot in the morning, with no way to lower the temperature other than open a window
- location is excellent (main reason we chose it); we took the train from Luton on arrival, then took the underground to Heathrow to depart. In between we utilized different modes of transport to get to and see everything we wanted. There were direct buses or trains, without transfers, to all of the major sights - staff was friendly during all of our interactions - hotel was very clean

United KingdomSadly the bed was a little uncomfortable, but then that's probably just me being picky.
The location was perfect for St Pancras and King's Cross stations. Lovely little hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful both prior to stay and during the stay.

United KingdomIt wasn't the cleanest hotel I've ever seen, but it was more dusty than outright dirty. I've paid more for hotels which have been dirtier Not a complaint at all because we asked for a room at the top, but for anyone who doesn't like stairs there are also rooms on the ground floor
Perfectly nice hotel near St Pancras, and good value for money (for London!). The staff were really lovely, and the reception decor was cool. I liked the fact it had a QR code to check Eurostar live updates

IsraelIt's a bit of a maze to find the room, I was on the ground level (room 009)going through several doors. Bathroom made weird sounds when flushing. No towels.
Super close to King's Cross with tons of public transport around. All the staff I met was super nice and helpful.

United KingdomMy room was in a basement and quite dark and cold. It was a bit rough around the edges in places, although the room overall was clean.
It was convenient and reasonably priced for London. Very near to Kings Cross and St Pancras. The staff were helpful and polite. The bed was comfortable and the bed linen clean.

United KingdomBased in the lower ground room, could hear the train underneath until 1pm and after that, could hear noise above our room throughout the night. Saying this, it wouldn't put me off staying again as the staff were lovely and accommodating.
Staff were lovely, couldn't do enough for us. Clean, trendy, homely and great location and drinking facilities.

United KingdomThe hotel is a little tired and worn and could do with a re-fresh to make the place a little more appealing.
The location of the hotel is great and within walking distance of Central London or close to public transport if you don't want to walk. The hotel room was minimal but comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. It's a low budget hotel so it's fine for what you pay for.

United KingdomThe mattress had a slight dip in it, it was a single bed which was what I ordered but the mattress was a bit saggy.
The room was small but clean and well designed for the size of the room. It had everything I needed, it was quite warm but I was able to open window, not sure if it had air conditioning.

United KingdomThe shower head is massive for a small shower space so water goes everywhere leaving the floor wet overnight. This is not your fault but the construction site across the road - their alarm went off at 3am for an hour and then again just after 5am for an hour and a half. If they have an alarm they need staff on the premises to investigate the alarm and switch it off ASAP as it’s inconsiderate to the residents and travellers in the area. I fear this might affect your business. No one can sleep with such a LOUD alarm in the middle of the night no matter how comfortable the bed. Good luck.
Room is spacious enough for a single person and bed. Location excellent if travelling from Kings Criss or St Pancreas which I did. The two gentlemen at reception when I arrived and left the next day were friendly, professional and courteous.
