    Nothing to dislike

Stayed at the Cathedral lodge for two days to see Canterburys attractions, have to say what a brilliant hotel.Firstly its located in the grounds of the cathedral so you literally walk straight from the hotel door into the grounds of the cathedral which is amazing. The hotel is a lovely place to stay to explore Canterbury a lovely hotel very comfortable and clean with very friendly and helpfull staff we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the hotel colleagues.Breakfast was included at the hotel and it was excellent lots of choice and very nicely cooked. Also included in the hotel stay was a free pass into the cathedral which is normally approx £17 to enter so another added bonus and a must to see absoltely stunning, carpark is available at the hotel at a cost of £10 per night but it is best to pre-book this as space is limited. The hotel is located central to all attractions and is also very secure all in all a great place to stay for a comfortable visit to one of Englands historic citys.

The hotel was clean, comfortable, quiet and perfectly located. It was the ideal spot to see not only the beautiful cathedral, but Canterbury as well. The staff were friendly and helpful, we had a room with a view of the Cathedral, and the breakfast was excellent. Unexpected bonuses included being able to hear the bells at the Cathedral, and the peacefulness of the precinct.

Generally great, only adverse comment: Lack of effective hanging space in room (205) and no storage drawers or places to put clothes.

Location obviously ideal, being within Cathedral walls

Lacking a guest laundry - travellers need a place to wash clothes and high street laundrettes are often not suitable or easy to access with a load of laundry

Fabulous location in the Cathedral grounds, access after hours and listening to the bells chiming. Onsite restaurant was great and convenient.

The beds are a little too stiff for my liking. My room had a very small shower and was hard to move around without hitting the walls.

The location is fabulous and perfectly convenient for the city centre and exploring the cathedral grounds whenever you want. The staff is fantastic, the gardens, tea room, and breakfast room are stylish, comfortable, bright, and clean.

nothing to dislike just the price

I liked the location, the breakfast the staff were lovely, due to location there is no pool or gym or spa facilities, the hotel is quite small so the price is a little hefty to be honest

The double bed is quite small and quite hard but totally fine for a night or two.

    Very little.

Location is wonderful. Parking very convenient.Service was exemplary. Breakfast was superb. 40 steps up to the bedroom a few times provided good exercise for two 80 year-olds, and we were offered a more expensive ground-floor option.
