Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI didn’t appreciate being woken at 12.15am by the bar manager to be told that some of our group didn’t pay the tab when we left the restaurant in the evening. After explaining that we paid individually when we ordered food, and I had the bank statement show proof I was told they would go and check. Another phone call, and awoken AGAIN at 12.45am to say the manager had spoken to the bar staff and could see the mistake THEY had made, and that they were new staff. Broken sleep after a considerable drive to get to the hotel in preparation for a long day working at Trac Mon race circuit the following day wasn’t appreciated, and little in the way of apology. Perhaps staff should check the FACTS prior to accusing a group who’d spend in excess of £300 on rooms and food for a single night that we’d not paid a bill. Poor show if I’m honest, and I’d probably not stay there again even though the rest of the stay was acceptable and a perfect location for many visits to the circuit over the season.
Fantastic welcome, great room and the food was superb.

United KingdomThe room is quite dated - looks like they are renovating gradually. The bathroom needs an overhaul, the fixtures are old and there are cracks and mould that cannot be cleaned off. The shower didn't work.
Location is great for visiting Bangor. Nice walks to the straits. The bar is lovely though I didn't eat there as there was a funeral happening the first night and it was off limits but the menu looked good.

United KingdomOur first room had an adjoining room but there were people staying in there but as only a internal door separated us it sounded like they were in the room with us, but they changed rooms for us for the rest of our stay! The property is very dated and could definitely do with a make over but for the price you can’t really complain! Breakfast could do with an improvement, but wasn’t terrible!
The location was perfect, the staff were absolutely wonderful and so helpful! Nothing was too much to ask for them! We climbed snowdon and got back to the hotel around half 8! We ordered food and they delivered it to our room, food was amazing!

United KingdomQuirky. Bathroom was dark and dingy. Room was outdated, tired and in need of a refurb (both decor and furniture). Bed had header and footer making it very uncomfortable for anyone above medium height.
Staff, bar area, didn’t have food but breakfast looked nice.

United Kingdom1. You’re warned that the room key card might stop working if in close proximity to your phone, however, staff were quick to help out so an easy fix 2. TV remote seemed to not work well 3. WiFi connection wasn’t as good. No signal to use your own 4G/5G 4. Could use a side table by the plugs
1. Amazing staff - very helpful 2. Great location - easy to find, close local trails and other walks/attractions 3. Pleasant surrounding area 4. Free parking with available spaces even when arriving late in the evening

United KingdomI remember this hotel from the 90s and it was one of the best hotels for miles around. Unfortunately it has not seen any investment in rooms since the 90s by the looks of it. Also didn’t help that there was no hot water available in the morning! I ran the tap for ages but none was coming through, even though the heating was on?! I didn’t have time to report it and wait for someone to fix it.
Ideal location just off the A55

United KingdomThe noise. We got told on arrival there was a party at which the music would be on until midnight. I felt like I was in the party myself. I could hear every word to every song. The room we were in had no lamps and the lighting was not great. The shower literally sounded like I was taking off in a jet engine and I’m sure would have woken up the next room. The pipes for the central heating for the building was in our room and everytime someone put on hot water the pipes rattled.
The location was very decent for some stunning places in Wales. Very easy to get to. Free parking. Bed was comfy. Although the decor throughout was dated, everything was clean. It was very cheap.

United KingdomThe doors BANG. They are on closers and if you are asleep and other people let them close by their selves it’s loud and disorientating, once you work out it’s a door or three, then it’s ok. The heat in our room stopped at the bathroom, nothing in the room itself, it was cold. The stairs, there’s a lot in small stair case runs and my mum and husband have bad knees, but there again I think it was because we had a dog. Some of the reviews, I read mentioned bad mattresses, so feeling the springs I slept on the duvet, probably why I was extra cold haha, my mum who hadn’t read the reviews, had a great nights sleep, she said the spring mattress was old but absolutely fine and it was lovely to get into a clean comfortable bed, she was too warm, but opened her window. My husband basically passes out when he goes to sleep, so had nothing to say but great shower!
We were staying 1 night and it was close to Britannia Bridge and my husband wanted a stop that was just on Anglesey. It’s nearly on top of the Britannia Bridge lions that are fab. We had a dog, so you could not expect the best rooms, but they were clean and acceptable. Staff were friendly, but we did not say much other than hello and goodbye. One night is not a fair viewpoint.

United KingdomThe Hotel is very dated in parts and rooms need updating but apparently this is being done in stages. Our room was very basic, had to ask for a bedside lamp. Bed was very worn and we asked to change the mattress but they didn't have any spare. We got offered another room but we were only there two nights so managed with extra duvet over mattress.
Location, dog friendly, staff were very accommodating, bar and restaurant was good. Food was lovely

New ZealandWiFi was really bad - couldn't work online which was a bit stressful. Walls are thin so you can hear everyone moving about - but I guess that's part of the charm of an older building.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. It is perfect for a budget hotel, clean rooms, hot water and peaceful.
