The reception staff were not very friendly. It seemed as if they would cause me problems if I had not been able to find my driving licence to show to her. Even though I had several credit cards in my name and used one to pay the hotel bill at checkin even before she gave me a room key. There was a notice by the desk saying that checkout was by 10am and anyone leaving later would be charged at extra £10 per hour up to 12pm. I thought that was a very unfriendly notice and wanted to get extra money from anyone who left the room just a few minutes after 10am

The room whilst rather basic was clean and totally adequate. There were plenty of clean towels. The public areas have been decorated and are now quite pleasant. I did not have the breakfast because it did not seem to be very good value and used to get bad reviews.

Evening Receptionist...did not make us feel welcome...felt like we had interrupted the receptionists conversation. They were abrupt and quite rude. Bar staff was non plussed. The Hotel was boiling hot...even with the window open. The room and beds were clean...the bathroom wasnt so clean in that there were other peoples hair on the tiles in the bath/shower.

Price and Breakfast was good. The morning receptionist was very helpful and friendly. The room was ok, the price was cheap.

Had to wait to check in, once we got to the reception desk, there was no apology about the wait. Very outdated bedroom. No shampoo/conditioner etc in the bathroom. Clean on the surface, but can see hairs etc on carpet. Boiling hot in the room, even though radiators weren’t on. Cant comment on food, as we didn’t eat there. Unfortunately had the worst nights sleep, as there was riff raff, shouting and swearing outside the hotel and could smell weird around the premises outside

The hotel was really really dated and needed updating and redecorating especially in the rooms and corridors. Lots of maintenance issue, carpets stuck down with duck tape etc The room had only 2 plug sockets in the room. One had the TV plugged in. We had a family room and in order to charge 4 phones, it was very difficult. The description on the websites does not match the reality. It really is dilapidated and in need of updating. Internet was poor too. The rooms were hot and we had to have the window open all night. In summer I do not know how people would get comfortable as the windows only opened up partially for safety.

Very very very Cheap compared to other hotels and had a the pool. If you don't mind the negatives, it worth it.

The hotel was a bit of a maze, when trying to find our room. There are lifts to get to the top floor but if using the stairs to the top floor it feels like your in a multi storey car park.

The hotel has a swimming pool available to use at certain intervals in the day. A games room with pool tables and table tennis. There was also entertainment in the bar in the evening.

The hotel is a bit of a mish-mash, and not particularly well kept. There was mould in the bathroom, the whole place needed a massive refresh. This is definitely not any kind of luxury hotel.

Location was good - ideal for the airport as we planned. The beds were clean and there was plenty of space in the room. Asda nearby was great for room snacks.

Was a bit disappointed that no entertainment was provided over the weekend because they had a private function next door . And was disappointed that the swimming pool was closed on Sunday and we were not prewarned of this when we asked about booking times in the Saturday evening… the male member of staff was rude and really didn’t seem to care

No free WiFi went on website to connect told me I had to pay. Swimming pool was out of service. Bar not open to welcome guests while waiting for rooms to be ready. Had a fan in the room that didn't work.

The fire alarm went off and it was hard for me to find my way back to reception I got anxious and scared I have asthma and I was paranoid but I understand and glad it did work but had no help or direction to come down the stairs it took me 8 mins then it was like nothing happened tbh I was scared and would like to come back again just so u awere of these things

The room carpet was dirty, the shower looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The drawers were broken, it looked like grandmas old bedroom. The fire alarm went off and the staff seemed unbothered, left everyone inside as they were sure it was an accident that the alarm had been set off. No fire drill

The hotel has a warm feel. Nice helpful staff clean towels and linen but did not smell clean. Comfy bed, spacious room and TV. The guests were lovely, the hotel is impressive in size, lovely building.
