How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The rooms were on the small side however this was clear when booking and economy price reflected this.
Great location. Professional and friendly staff. Rooms comfortable and quiet.

Double Room was very small more like a box room, 4 cushions on bed 2 of which were large had to try and find somewhere to put them. Could hear the room above walking about their room. Affected our lie in .
Lovely and clean room, decor like new had everything iron, hairdryer, kettle tea , coffee all good working order

It was a smaller space, however we weren't dissatisfied as we felt this was reflected in the price, which we were happy with.
The hotel was clean and comfortable, and in an excellent location for exploring London.

Easy to find and check in was easy. Basic facilities but don't need anything more. Room was a bit small but fine for 1 person and no problem really.

There was nothing we didn't like. The room was small but we were prepared for that. As long as people are aware the room is small it's not a problem.

The stairs to our room were soo many and the last set of stairs (our room was on the top floor) was really narrow. We are young and had only backpacks and a small suitcase to carry but I only can imagine how difficult this must be for older adults.
The location was really good. We only had to walk about 20 min to get to the Big Ben and 10 min to get to the next train/subway station. It was in a nice neighborhood with many restaurants around. The room was small but we only slept there so therefore it wasn't so bad

Room was a little chilly and thermostat seemed ok in evening warming up the room but was a bit cold in the morning.
Location was perfect for me to get to and from work (near Buckingham palace). Just a 15 minute walk. Room was small as expected as it was just a single, but bathroom was bigger than I’d have thought. Lovely friendly welcome on arrival.

The hotel was extremely comfortable and although we had no running water in the morning, the staff reacted quickly and provided some bottled water. We would definitely consider staying here again.

There was lack of communication between booking.com and hotel regarding rooms. Smart TV in room didn't have access to any streaming services. Not as spacious as photos suggest, but you are in London.
Bed was comfortable, decor was modern. Bathroom was clean. Location of hotel was brilliant very central. Close to Victoria station and tubes.

Very small room, with no space to store my luggage and things or move. Most of the staff smile-less, above all at the check-in.
Nicole, excellent engagement. The guy at the reception on Jan 7th afternoon too, good commitment to help. Very good position and transports available at anytime to go everywhere.

It’s was certainly a cozy space but well layed out to make the most. There were just a couple of odd placement of things in the bathroom that could easily be fixed (hand soap very high up like eye level, no hook for towel, shower gels etc on the cramped side of the shower.) Also the bedside table was very small and didn’t allow you to put much of anything on it. This could also be improved by maybe a larger vertical multi shelf bedside installation that would give enough space for the phone/teapot/remote as well as guests items like chargers, wallets, etc. Also room would greatly benefit from 1 additional outlet!
Fabulous quiet location that was easy to access London’s best places. Staff were very kind and welcoming and the room was very clean and modern!

Our room was on the Top floor 303 which was not convenient for myself as I have heart condition but no other rooms were available so we had no choice but to climb these stairs

Climbing 74 steps to the top floor. There is no lift. The steps are narrow. Breakfast is not available. The receptionist indicated, a little vaguely, that there are cafes in the vicinity.
The room, although small, was comfortable and recently refurbished. The shower was good, with plentiful hot water. The towels were excellent - large and absorbent.
