The bed in our room was very uncomfortable & hard, needed a 2nd pillow & mattress topper. decor in the bedroom really needs updating. Friends' room was better so maybe it was just our room.

A little away from town, bedroom a little tired.

Friendly proprietors, very helpful. Comfortable bed, lovely clean sheets. Wi-Fi good. Close to station. Parking. Excellent value for money.

Toilet seat in the bathroom doesn't stay up when being used by a man!

A very warm welcome and efficient service as we arrived made us feel at home immediately. Most, if not all, our needs were met without us asking. Excellent breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

The showers were far to small, and our mattress was rock hard, door to shower room was to small for the opening,and it just needed updating,

the decor looks like it has been frozen in the 1970s! carpet in the downstairs toilet. the carpet in our room was very worn.

Family Room and Ensuite shower room a bit cramped but adequate. A plus was enough seating to sit and read, and nice big TV. But we weren't watching it much as we were out and about exploring this lovely island, following some of Judy's tips.

Judy the landlady is truly amazing. A mine of information and a great sense of humour. And very friendly and kind. Beds comfy, breakfast v good, lovely old house (1870 - photo on wall near reception), parking ok, v near sandown train station. We went to ryde pier head, a nice little trip. Anything we needed we asked Judy - e.g. space in her fridge/freezer for meds and food/drink.

Hate having to say it as the building and everyone there were lovely. But the rooms do need updating/upgrading.

Loved the owners, so welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the bar was cute.

It would have been good to have a slightly larger room, as it was a bit tight.

Our room was clean with a good shower, the breakfast was extremely good. The bar meals were excellent. If you like a drink, the bar was well stocked. The welcome was very friendly.

We liked the choice of cooked breakfasts, and the island train and buses were close by.

I wouldn't say we didn't like anything. The shower curtain in our room kept sticking to our bodies when showering which wasn't nice. And the 2 tiles at the front of the shower were quite dangerous for us. But they are both very small niggles.

Judy the host was lovely and so accommodating. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast was lovely. Couldn't ask for more.

The house was nice, old but very clean. Close to the sea side 12min. walking. Quiet area. Parking is available in front of the house or on the street. The staff was exceptionally nice and accommodating. I would stay there again for sure. Food is available at any time up to 8:30pm.

Bed too firm, for my personal preference and the WiFi didn't reach my room, but this wasn't a problem as was tired after days out so just wanted to sleep and only stayed for 2 nights Shower door only opened half way, as it hit the toilet seat, so as a larger lady this was a squeeze to get in and out of

Hosts were excellent and always available if you had a question. Greeted us before we had unpacked the car and helped take bags to the rooms. Breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty and the rooms were nice and quiet. Family room by front door was perfect for my elderly father who cannot do stairs Everywhere was very clean and welcoming Excellent value for the price in August, would definitely stay there again

The walls are thin and sometimes we could hear other guests at night. Fresh fruit & yoghurt would have been nice for breakfast.

Lovely staff (Judy & Alex). Easy & relaxed. Accommodated my 6 year old and his limited food choices. No rush to move the car after check-out which was very helpful. Tasty evening food.

The room was a little cramped and had a very small en-suite. Basic breakfast, no fruit or porridge available. But what was on offer was very good.

The location was perfect, near seafront, shops and buses. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Good facilities. Overall cleanliness was very good. Family run hotel.

The bed room floor was very creapy bit embracing at night. Shower very small if you are a large person.

Lady owner and her son were polite helpfull and the breakfast was v.nice overall it was good for the value of money charged.
