Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Apart from the friendly chap at the front desk, this was an awful hotel. Thin stud walls between the room meant all conversations could be heard from next door. The room was smelling a bit too. The toilets were dirty, with urine everywhere. I stayed on the second floor, and could not sleep. The toilets are horrific. I would recommend that no one should stay here and find somewhere else. Given the number of rooms, this place is a business model, not a place to stay. I cannot believe someone from booking.com has allowed this premises to remain open with the significant issues in health and safety. It was £128 for two nights, I expected better.

The bed was clean and comfortable, and there was a nice new carpet in the room. The staff were friendly and obligingly allowed me to check into the room an hour and a half early, which was very helpful.

IrelandThe bathroom in the corridor was particularly small, and after another patron had used it was soaking wet. Walls were painted some kind of sparkling pink color which did not hide some alternative stains on them. Beds were metal & creaky but clean. Carpets could have been cleaner. Reception staff on arrival were not the most polite and talked down to me but later in the day other staff members were very nice. Overall we booked this as it was best value; if that is what you need it provides just that.
I liked that it was very conveniently located, what we booked was what it was a twin room with two beds.
