The rooms were very worn, wallpaper coming off, bathroom door had big holes that had been filled and looked awful. The beds were very uncomfortable.

Not much eye contact from staff Very run down outside Smelt horrid when we arrived but by next morning it smelt a lot better The window to our room was at back I opened curtains to find a man out there that could get full view of everything,ground floor room so then we had to keep curtains closed for rest of stay. No ITV on the telly

Bed was comfortable and had under counter fridge in which was very welcomed as room was hot and meant we could refrigerate drinks

The rooms were very worn i stayed 2 weeks for training and I stayed in 2 different rooms. Wallpaper coming away from the walls. Dirty marks on the walls and curtains. Bathroom room suit was all scuffef and scratched.Lots of noise at 5.30am workers banging doors to wake each other up for work.

I’ve been here 3 times already but this time it wasn’t really clean stains everywhere and a hole in the bathroom door, then was charged £10 for the towel being dirty of my fake tan isn’t that what a washer is for and paid for the king room which wasn’t worth it

room was clean bed and bathroom but the décor was tired and not looked after. room 903 had a tv but nowhere to plug it in. the table was very wobbly so couldn't use it. the single bedroom (family room) smelled of sewers when you walked in both times after being out and the window was open .

We didn't like much about this hotel. The rooms were not like they were shown in the photos. The rooms were tired and carpet smelly. The net curtains in the room were grey and looked like they had never been worn. The curtain ties were a piece of ripped fabric. There was a table in the room that was just about upright. We couldn't lean or balance drinks on the table as they would slide down. The beds we're comfortable, and we did sleep well. The bathroom was a nice size. No lock on the door, no floor mat for the shower, we had to use a towel. No hand soap and empty containers where the shower gel etc were screwed into the wall. Tiles cracked in places. There shower was a decent size, however the shower head and pipe were rusting. There was also a bath tub, however though a decent size the bath was a jacuzzi tub with vents, didn't want to take my chances by using it. The rooms didn't get "turner over" during our stay and rubbish etc was not removed during our 2 night stay. The lobby/bar area was nice. However we were told they don't open the bar, they don't offer breakfast in the hotel at all. We can at most buy a drink. We were not allowed to take wine glasses to our room, we had to swap them for plastic cups. We cannot really sit in the bar area and have a drink for too long. The carpet throughout the hotel was frayed and the hallways smelt tired. paintwork is old and worn. It was very disappointing as the photos were very promising wish I had taken photos but I didn't. Why did we stay? Everywhere we wanted to stay, was sold out

The woman on the front desk was is unhelpful. Not my first encounter with her. I simply stated that the iron in my room wasn’t working and I would like a new one. No apology, no trying to help. Last time I told her there was no hot water in my room and once again there was no apology, no attempt at helping.

Clean, comfortable room. Bed was nice and firm. hearing was turned on, windows could be opened wide enough to let some fresh air in.

pillows were so flat like it’s been used a thousand times. It advertised as soundproof yet we could hear people walking about and talking while walking past their rooms.

although it’s a no smoking hotel the corridors have a strong smoke smell. had to wait for towels to be washed sun ordered to have new ones, the hotel could do with spare towels for the guests

The check in was extremely late, it said we would be able to check in at 2, but we had to wait till 3:30 for the cleaner to finish which took an additional 10 minutes when we got into the room itself and the front desk serviceman forgot we had went up to discuss things after he told us he would be with us in a few minutes. Additionally, there was no compensation for this such as a later check out…

The room itself was comfortable to sleep in, with the mattress being a bit stiff. Overall not particularly worth the price point considering the travel you’re required to take in order to get in to town. However, the staff did provide us with free ice water when we asked at night which was nice.

room did not come up to scratch. Damaged furniture, missing drawers, room service only cleaned the bath room but left rubbish, even the romote control battery cover was missing., toilet had urine stains on lid hinges. Queen room which I expected to be of a high standard was not and certainly looked nothing like advertised on Booking.com
