How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The staff at reception was terrific. Very helpful and professional. Particular kudos to the very early am desk manager who got us coffee at 5:45 am and helped us get our car out of the car park.

The window seal/lock did not fully close the window properly so for that reason we could hear some noise from outside. The wifi connection was very poor. I found the hot food selection the next morning to not be hot probably something to do with the bamborees. However, there was plenty of food to choose from.
Our stay was comfortable. The room was comfortable temperature. Location was very accessable and convenient to the shops and restaurants.The staff were all helpful, all in all we enjoyed our stay.

No orange juice 1st day and motor on air conditioning was very loud.
Upgraded room which was a bonus.

We returned to hotel one evening and had no water so ordered two waters from the bar. We were charged £7.60 for two small warm bottles of water. My partner tapped the card automatically but we were in shock at the price! It did leave a bad impression.
Room was very comfortable and location was excellent.

The roof seating area outside of our window was covered in litter and unpleasant to look at.

The room was very warm and we were unable to turn down the temperature. Even the maintenance man couldn’t do it. We had to sleep with the windows open which was somewhat loud and still warm.

There were no PowerPoint's next to the bed which was not good when you require medical machines for your health. Powerboard offered however did not have length of cord. No further assistance was given by staff. We were required to move the furniture within the room to use the required PowerPoint. There was no fridge in the room. When asked if they could heat food in the hotel microwave on our behalf they would not.
Location was good and the bathroom and shower was really good.

A refrigerator in the room would be nice. There is a space for it. Looks like they had them at one time and removed them all, except for Executive rooms.

The position of the TV in our room. It was right in front of the mirror. It should ideally be on the wall & the mirror moved.
Staff very efficient & friendly. We had an excellent dinner on Friday night. Breakfast is good although could be hotter. Room well equipped, although could do with a little updating, & the pillows were too firm for comfort. However, overall, an excellent 3 nights stay.

The cold counter in the bar didn't look good at all not very attractive or inviting at all Could be so much better....few scones sausage rolls in there very not too much to choose from would of loved something nice with my coffee. The rooms are OK just ok clean tidy and comfortable. The doors on the bedroom bang shut potentially annoy the other guests
Breakfasts was good fresh and plentiful good selection great variety. It Was extremely busy, when we got down found it very difficult to find a clean table that was fine. we managed, ok Suggest the staff look at how the Spanish clear and reset tables and adopt some ideas.. In all the time I was there, not 1 fresh table set Even do more ppl arrived for breakfast
