Did not enjoy having our evening dinner in the bar area with one tv playing sports, and another tv playing music. Food was very good though.

The hotel is in general showing age. The room wasn't serviced despite the sign on the door. The breakfast didn't have the quality for the price tag.

The location is central and the room had a great view of the river. The staff at check-in was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. All was looking clean, but showing age.

Unfortunately there were no towels in room on arrival or toilet rolls, disappointing

Very large executive suite, great access to the local town, walks and tours. It’s an old building but they are keeping it updated and clean

The room was a bit dated with frosted windows, so I couldn't see what the weather was like before going out. Windows don't open either. The room was right next to the hall door so quite noisy at times with people going in and out. Bathroom was really cold

Very comfortable bed, bins and towels changed everyday if required. Fantastic location

No parking A literal assault course to reach our room on the 3rd floor! Having to manoeuvre suitcases up stairs from the lift through 2 closely set sets of swing doors. Disappointing bar with poor selection of beers. Not welcoming. Day 1: cooked breakfast items were cold and mushrooms were frazzled. Day 2: foodstuffs were warmer (porridge was cold!) but dining room supervisor tried to remonstrate with me when I was feeding back rather than listening to my concerns which did not reflect well. Negligible tourist information available.

    Central location. Spacious room.

Heating in the room didn't work very good no heating in the bathroom lights not suitable dark room very dated, throughout the hotel skirting boards not cleaned, cold in the bar area doors left open, upstairs sitting area not welcoming.had to ask cleaner to service the room he didn't give us milk tea or coffee had to go to receptiion twice to top up, breakfast was slow to refill eggs bacon ect.cant fault the staff they were great but I think they have many jobs .

The walk in shower is more of a climb in shower, it's raised 5 or 6 inches off the floor, I have issues with my balance so I never went in it, nor did my partner.

Very central location, hotel overlooks the river and the castle. The room was big enough for the 2 of us, space for cases etc. Beds very comfortable.

The shower in the bathroom was over a deep bath. I feel a grab rail on the wall would have been safer for an 87 year old
